Here's my latest Supergirl fan fiction story (#46) - "A Super Team Trip to the Johnson Space Center". This time I sent Kara and her friends to the NASA space center in Houston for some adventures and Mexican food. Hope you like it!

" Hmm...Nat CIty has an NBA team taking on Melissa's hometown Denver Nuggets (though in reality we are at the NBA Finals)? Any idea as to their name; and does Nat City also have baseball, NFL football and hockey teams?"

By the way, I just remembered the first chapter of last year's "Adventures of Supergirl" comics series. It starts with a game at a stadium in National City in which the "National City Sharks" are playing the "Metropolis Metros". Although it isn't explicitly said exactly what the sport is, during Kara's fight with Rampage, Rampage pulls a goal post out of the ground and tries to hit her with it. So it does appear to be a (American) football game!

A query for you, "Kara (smiling) Yeah, that’s right – for me, it’s just a two-hour flight", I thought she would fly faster than that from National City (is it basically L.A. in your world?) to Houston. Have you based her speed from the Silver Age Comics that you know so well?.

Actually, I don't think Kara's flight speed was ever really established in the Silver Age comics. I don't recall any discussion of how fast she traveled from one place to another.
But on the TV, they showed her breaking the sound barrier. If she's flying somewhat faster than sound, that would be around 800 miles per hour. So it would take about 2 hours to fly from L.A. to Houston at that rate. In one of my earlier stories I had her fly from National City to the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. I said it took her 3 hours, which would be about right at 800 mph. Of course, these are not exact figures - I'm making use of a bit of "poetic license", too! :)

I know of someone who might read this...Kelly. She lives in Houston, TX.

Actually, "Nuggets" would be a perfect name. Too bad it's already taken!
Hmm... maybe Nomads?
