Here's my new Supergirl fan fiction story (#48). This time I'm sending the Supergirl Team to Peru, Susan's native country! (There's a big surfing scene there, too.) Kara's currently learning Spanish (with Susan's help), so this will also give her a chance to practice. :)
Hope you like it!

Fantastic story, Stewart! My only complaint, as always, it is too short. They are like chocolate truffles. The single pieces go too quickly.

Well, the "red sun radiation" is an old idea in the comics. Both Brainiac and Lex Luthor used it against Superman quite often. (It was one of his few weaknesses.) But I came up with the idea of a red traffic light "accidently" reproducing it, after I read an article about how the new traffic lights and street lamps are using LEDs (because they are more efficient than light bulbs). LEDs do produce certain distinct frequencies of light - so why not "red sun radiation"?

Here's a good example - from the Supergirl-Batman team-up in the Brave & the Bold #147. A very technologically-advanced terrorist group has protected their satellite (with laser weapons) from Superman or Supergirl with red-sun radiation. (But Batman could still approach it!)
