These two are released today. Will share my view after I watched them, but I have been very excited to see Black Lightning come back.
I haven't checked out the premier of Black Lightning, yet. It's a fun show, but because it isn't tied to the Arrowverse continuity, yet, I'm not as motivated to watch "right away" if I can binge later.
Flash, though...
I love Nora/XS. Jessica Parker Kennedy is charming as can be. I really want her to stick around.
It's interesting to note, though, Nora has had hand in destroying all of Barry's previous suits, cementing his need for the ring suit. I wonder if this has a hidden purpose throughout the season, or if it's just a sign of how reckless she is.
Regardless, I haven't been this excited about Flash since the beginning of season 3. I'm pretty pumped, right now.

I liked the first episode of the Flash. It was very funny which was good for once. The prospect of time travel and secrets makes me worry that they may repeat the default CW formula again (secrets lead to artificial character conflict). But if they do it differently and do it well, this seasons holds promise.
Still have to try to accept the new suit. Also the main villain right now feels a bit like this random edgy guy, but we've yet to see what he can do.

Solid premiere. Always felt Flash starts its seasons off a little slow (I'm aware they are diligently planting seeds to be sown later in the season) and this episode felt a little slow for me. Still liked it.
- I initially found Nora to be a little annoying but she quickly grew on me especially after she came clean to Barry.
- There does seem to be more to the Nora/Iris relationship that will come out later, Nora really had no time for mom.
- Nora and Barry were adorable together.
- Initially with the whole cant tap into the speed force to time travel back home, I was starting to think maybe it was the Monitor somehow blocking it and was going to be something that leads us up to the crossovers.
- I am unaware of who the season villain is for this season, but did find the final moment of the episode to be intriguing and left me wanting more info on him.
