I’ve noted some of you expressing concern over a perceived loss in activity. I want to give you a place to address it but would appreciate not having that conversation on the news articles. So this is a good place for that.

First, I can tell you that based on analytics, the site traffic is pretty much right where it’s been the last few years. We’ve also made a few new sources and have gotten closer with The CW and WB. You might notice we are getting the big scoops now as they happen. We are also going to be doing more giveaways soon. The Pop figure that is in high demand is coming soon. We want you all to know we are still as committed on supplying the best fan community for Supergirl as possible.

As for usage, show retention is down a bit. Some Sanvers fans have made an exit. Some Karamel fans have gone too. But, if that was the only reason why you were watching a show then it would make sense to stop watching. We are here for the Girl of Steel and that’s enough for us. We hope that doesn’t read pointedly, we mean it as an understanding statement.

With all of that said, we always want to do better for you all. Is there something you’d like to see on the site more? Should we moderate more? Moderate less? Share your opinions with us in this thread and we promise to give them all consideration.

Thank you for being a member of Supergirl.tv.

I have no suggestions having anything to do with the running of the site. Personally I'm trying to avoid spoilers, so I'm not looking at sneak peaks or photo galleries. I know one person who was a frequent poster who still loves the show but is disengaging from social media because they are finding they enjoy it more without the noise, I'm waiting to see if that holds for them.

The internet seems to thrive on the negative more so than the positive and right now the show is in a pretty good place. The premier was well revived and ratings wise the move to Sunday's went better than most expected, the network executives must be very pleased. The show is in no danger of cancellation, even on the "big" networks shows that survive to season four inevitably get a fifth season. People who have left have said their peace and moved on. Basically it's a time of relative peace which while great doesn't thrive on the internet.

I also think there's a bit of collective breath holding with the subject matter being handled this season, topics that can be perceived as political are a bomb waiting to go off. I agree with what the show has said in past seasons but even I agree it could have been better said at times. If the writers can keep things like the premier then this will be one of the best seasons of a superhero show ever.

Bottom line this site is great and I think as the season progresses they'll be more to talk about.

****

I second this sentiment 100%.

As for the site, there doesn't seem to be things out of place with it. Thanks for the thread and concern, Eric!

As for the anticipated Funko POP! Supergirl contest, count me way in! I'd love to get my mitts on one of those! :D :D :D

I was planning on writing a response this afternoon, but Brierrose beat me too it. Those comments match my opinions. Well said!

After Comic Con, I was discouraged--tired of their one-sided slant on political issues, and appeared they were gonna double down on it season 4. But, I've been super stoked to still be engaged in the show and here--two episodes in :p

I joked last week about there not being any "firmly stated disagreements" in the forum after episode 1. So, I for one, am more than happy it appears shippers have cut bait and left. While the arguments have lowered, the ratings haven't.

Keep up the terrific work, Eric and Kelsey!

I think that you guys are doing a great job in the amount of moderating that you do. I have no concerns.

One of my favorite things to do is to participate in discussions, which is one of the main reasons why I joined this forum. I think that exploring different beliefs among the community members is very interesting and has the opportunity to lead to the expansion of ideas and to greater levels of tolerance. That said, I have to wonder if people might be understandably hesitant to dig in too deep into the episodes because the issues are a bit controversial and there might be fears as to how others might respond. I hope this is not the case, as it is only through discussion of those ideas that we can even hope to come to some type of agreement and fix the existing problems. And, of course, the key is to also use tact and diplomacy while those discussions.

I also can remember the first season on here, we had a lot of different aspects about the show that we talked about which made it very enjoyable to "hang-out" here. I do miss some of those types of threads but, I do appreciate the ones that we now have, too.
