Okay, you are right that makes sense. It just seems like a bit much to happen in a single episode (I assume Mon-El and Winn are around only for a single episode).

Most bummed about the lack of Cat Grant hints of all. To have one last Cat Grant appearance would be a great way to tie it all back to season 1. I hope we at least get a Cat letter with a voice over.

The other lack of spoiler that is really depressing to me is nothing so far suggesting any Alura cameo. I think it would have felt very meaningful if she had reprised one more time to reunite with Zor-El. Or are there any spoilers that suggest that Zor-El is dying?

William doesn't make sense to me either because Winn and Mon-El didn't know him and it doesn't seem to me like the relationship Kara has with William is close enough that it makes sense that they would be there to support her.

The main reason I could see everybody at a funeral for William including Winn,Mon-El and james is if he has some type of heroic action that leads to his death.Maybe he exposes Lex's evil to the world finally but is killed in the process or he does something that opens the door for Team Supergirl to finally win against Lex.

I have a hard time believing that the funeral would be for Supergirl. Wouldn't a Supergirl funeral be a much bigger deal? I mean the world loves Supergirl everybody is helping her out in the big battle. And if they were attending Supergirl's funeral and the point is to hide the identity of Kara Danvers, wouldn't people attend the funeral in costume then? If it was Supergirl's funeral I would expect everybody to attend in costume and pay tribute to her as fellow heroes, especially if it's all fake anyway because Kara isn't dead. With all the fuss they made about secret identities, it makes no sense that they would go to "Supergirl's" funeral in their civilian clothes.

And I don't think that a world where Kara is forced to fake Supergirl's death would be a very happy ending. If the world loves her, couldn't she just announce that she wants to retire if for example she wants to step back because she wants other heroes to take over and people live their own power? And if stuff happens that Supergirl is hated and in danger that that forces Kara to fake Supergirl's death, that would be a pretty depressing note to end on.

I don't think that it will be Eliza because in that case I would expect Kara and Alex to be way more traumatized and it would be I think too sad to do that right around the finale. Same if it was Zor-El.

Well, I'm delighted that Winn and Monty will be back for the season finale. I enjoyed their characters and performances during their time on the set.
When you look back on season 2 and how it unfolded with Melissa and Chris it's quite a story. Not only was it scripted to fall in love as characters of the show but it actually happened off screen. Marriage and a baby boy soon followed. So, with that said I can see them possibly going off into the sunset and live happily ever after as the show ends. Just like their reality. As Artie Johnson would say on "Laugh In" "Very Interesting"

I'm very happy we are getting some legacy characters back too.I thought we would have a good shot at Chris being back as Mon-El since he's been up in Vancouver with Melissa the whole time.It was just a question of if the show wanted him in the end of the series.I wasn't as sure about Jeremy & Mehcad due to scheduling and having to come in from out of country and probably have to do some quarantines first.So I'm thrilled we are also getting Winn and James back too.Winn & James are part of the OGs so very nice to have them in the finale.I think it's great all three characters are back for this.

Yesterday was the final location shoot for Supergirl.According to Canadagraphs it was mostly stunt stuff but a few cast members were there.Jon Cryer, Peta Sergeant, & Helen Slater.
