With Ruby Arias being half bioenginered krptonian, the odds over develop ing powers similar to her mother are quite high.
In various Superman comics over the hears, Superman' kids almost always have at least some of his Powers.
If Ruby develops powers like her mother, and Emma Tremblay becomes a series regular next season, will Kara take her under her wing and teach HSR how to use her powers and even become her sidekick, a major member of Team Supergirl?

I would agree Ruby is likely to fill a sidekick role. Since she will be a regular, I would imagine that Kara would take an interest in helping her. Especially after seeing whatever happens to her mother, it would be important to make sure that she doesnt follow in her mothers footsteps. I think she might have the flight/invulnerability powers but not really know how to use them. Or they activate later because of her hybrid status.

When I first read this I thought....NOOOOOOOOOO, but now that I think about it....the one thing I was unhappy about as far as the MGann story line was the fact that I thought it would be a chance for Kara to mentor another young girl, and unfortunately they chose to go a different route with MGann....so with that said, maybe this could work to that end....as in Kara getting a chance to mentor a young girl.

Who is Ruby and Where have you heard she will be a regular ?

Ruby is Samantha's (Reign) daughter....being a regular next year is speculation. She is a fantastic little actress, I could definitely see them bringing her on as a series regular, even this season.

Is there definitely going to be a Season 4? I know there is a lot of optimism, but has it been officially announced? If so, I'm tickety boo!

Speaking of Emma Tremblay, how old is she? In all the pics I see of her online she looks really young. But in the the season threes stills released so far,she looks older. Why hasn't she done any interviews to Supergirl yet?

I'm gonna vote NO to a teenage sidekick. I can't think of one instance where bringing in a kid is a positive thing for the long term health of a TV show. It's mostly seen as a desperate attempt to keep the show on the air. I'd be ok with Ruby occasionally interacting with Kara but not as a regular. At this point it's way to early to speculate on season four, let's sit back and enjoy season three.

I'm gonna go with a big box of "Nooopoe" on this one. Supergirl doesn't need to go in that direction.

Theres one way to avoid that. Have her leave with the legion of superheroes and come back re cast as a few years older to early 20's or so.

That's just bringing in another slightly younger Kara and I don't see the point of doing that. If Ruby stays have her go live with her grandmother, who coincidentally is being introduced, and very occasionally hang out with Kara. Don't make her a regular. All of this is speculation which is fun but Reign could easily take off with her daughter at the end of the season.

I don't think I'd like that. I'd like Kara to get a mentee in a later season: season 6 or 7. In the first few seasons, she is supposed to be still dealing with her own place in the world; her mentoring looks not all that much earned; and writers use it to write other drama.
