Just announced that Batwoman will be joining Supergirl on Sundays. I think this could be a real boost to Supergirl. Never felt Charmed was a great fit to follow. Supergirl has been moved to following Batwoman, rather than the other way around.
Thoughts?

Supergirl is doing ok, but is on its 5th season. Batwoman as lead off could help both shows.
Worth a shot.
Poor Legends... banished to midseason.

Well crap, I figured they’d put them together but Supergrl being on at 9 might mean no “live” viewing for me. After Memorial Day I’m starting a new position that means I have to be at work by 7. I’m gonna start the season viewing “live” but that means I have to be ironclad in my no internet after the show rule so I can get to bed and hope that works. I get they want to give Batwoman a boost and Supergirl is an established show but crap.

Weak sauce, Brier! Welcome to the life of a high school teacher. You'll get use to it, and be up till 11 pm before you know it.

11 is fine if I can actually be asleep. I don’t fall asleep easily, never have especially if my brain doesn’t want to shut off. Watching this show is definitely not conducive to my brain shutting off. I have the summer to get use to the new schedule and I’m gonna practice by doing my annual rewatching starting at 9:15ish on Sundays. Also American Ninja Warrior ends at 10 so instead of watching the next day all go live. Plus anything else I’m catching up on I’ll start later. Any advice on quickly falling asleep would be appreciated.Well crap, I figured they’d put them together but Supergrl being on at 9 might mean no “live” viewing for me. Both shows will do fine since traditional prime TV ratings don't matter very much on smaller networks. With a variety of media platforms to choose from nowadays and the CW brass being happy with things the way they are, there are no sweats to be had. PVR / On-demand 'em if you have to, sit back (whenever you can) and watch the show(s) at your leisure.

If that is the logic case, Supergirl would be in the 8:00 pm slot and not be shuffled to 9:00 pm. Just like when TBBT propped up SG for her pilot premiere on CBS back in 2015. Normally, a known show with an existing audience / fan base would be shown first and then the debut series would come thereafter since the audience would already be prepped for viewing.
Batwoman is likely being put at 8:00 pm because it is a darker, moodier show than SG and SG would be an antidote / light relief from the intensity of the prior hour. Also, it is possible that due to the mega CoIE crossover and other possible BW and SG appearances, the chronological events on BW will likely precede those on SG, so the BW show being slotted first would make sense.

Not necessarily, with this change they are #1. helping Batwoman because most already are use to watching Supergirl in the 7/8 pm time slot for 4 years now, and will probably tune in at that time in anticipation of Supergirl, and #2. They will prop up the ratings and viewership of the later timeslot.
and really #3, they already know that the younger viewers who have bedtimes will be able to watch Supergirl anytime that week because they have DVR'd it.
