On this date 10 years ago, Supergirl flew onto CBS with Melissa Benoist in the title role. It was the first time in 40 years that there was a female superhero TV show since Lynda Carter was Wonder Woman (first on ABC with the 1975 pilot film, then her 1976-77 season, then the last two on CBS, which enjoy reruns now on the digital TV service Heroes and Icons.).

After the first Supergirl season, many on this page and fans thought it was over after the initial 10+ million people tuned in and the ratings seemed to fall and fall. But, in comes the CW, where I think it should have gone all along, and it would go another five seasons to become the longest running female superhero show on TV doubling Wonder Woman's three seasons and tying it in terms of seasons with the six-season syndicated run of George Reeves' "Adventures of Superman"

Now a decade later, comes this. McFarlane Toys is apparently ramping up their DC lineup of toys and figure line DC Deluxe Theatrical Edition Figures. Toy News International reports on this rumor (and I have to stress it is a rumor) that among the 7-inch figures in the line will include

7in DC Melissa Benoist Supergirl (CW Series)

Now if this is confirmed, will it be the skirt or the pantsuit? This picture from the article may give you a clue...

- 7in DC Deluxe Theatrical Edition Henry Cavill Superman Figure
- 7in DC Deluxe Theatrical Edition Supergirl Milly Alcock (new movie)
