Here's a nice interview with Helen conducted in San Antonio recently. Always good to hear Helen will be in Vancouver soon for Supergirl filming. She definitely should be in Episode # 100 (and # 99 would be really good).

Also in San Antonio Helen posted on her Instagram a photo (attached) of herself and Brandon Routh. Always so nice to see actors who have played Supergirl and Superman photographed together :) :) .

Helen was so beautiful as Supergirl

Indeed, to me Helen is the movie, her performance was so sincere and endearing, totally won me over as a fan of the character. Whenever I re-watch the movie (now in gorgeous Blu-Ray) I only watch Helen and still get lots of joy from her performance. Simply wonderful.

On another note there's a screening of the movie coming up in L.A. soon and some awesome artwork for the screening has been released (see attached) :) :) :) .

A great interview as we near the 35th anniversary of the US release of the film...11/21/1984...my mom's then 46th birthday. Helen was so beautiful as Supergirl...but the story was lackluster and to be honest Faye Dunaway was WAYYYYYYYYY Over the top as Selena.

****

Very true. Faye Dunaway's performance was vamp-ish and Helen did her best to be a good superhero model in her first really plum role. She got honourable mentions at the time, but the film didn't pan out for a variety of reasons. Nonetheless, it did things for us older folks and we still have good memories of it even after all these years. ;)
