Oh, great!
Cool :)

It's just too bad that Sterling Gates won't be writing the stories. As far as I'm concerned, he's the all-time best Supergirl writer, and certainly the biggest influence on my own fan fiction writing!

Great to hear. It'll be a good way to fill the void until the season starts.

Supergirl will headline a new DC maxiseries with Krypto and a new, vengeful sidekick in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow by writer Tom King and artists Bilquis Evely and Mat Lopes.

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow marks Kara Zor-El's first new series in years, and will be a part of DC's Infinite Frontier era. Supergirl and Krypto will be joined by an alien girl whose world has been destroyed. Now, she is out seeking revenge, whether Supergirl helps her or not.

Supergirl: Woman Of Tomorrow #1

Written by Tom King
Art and cover by Bilquis Evely and Mat Lopes

Kara Zor-El has seen some epic adventures over the years, but has recently found her life without meaning or purpose. Here she is, a young woman who saw her planet destroyed and was sent to Earth to protect a baby cousin who ended up not needing her. What was it all for? Wherever she goes, people only see her through the lens of Superman’s fame.

Just when Supergirl thinks she’s had enough, everything changes. An alien girl seeks her out for a vicious mission: her world has been destroyed and the bad guys responsible are still out there. She wants revenge and if Supergirl doesn’t help her, she’ll do it herself, whatever the cost.

Now, a Kryptonian, a dog and an angry heartbroken child head out into space on a journey that will shake them to their very core!

Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow #1 by Tom King, Bilquis Evely and Mat Lopes goes on sale June 15 from DC.

Sounds interesting, I like that they came up with a story for Supergirl that wouldn’t work with Superman.

I saw the ad for this the other day and was intrigued. I really like how Krypto has become a sidekick for Supergirl. I was really hoping the TV show was developing the Infected story with Brainy going bad and infects Kara to turn dark and introduce Krypto to the Arrowverse, as that comic arc also featured him prominently.

This new story sounds promising. I liked they added the subtitle... "Woman of Tomorrow", but kept her as Supergirl.

I am curious what that sword could possibly be made of as it seems quite unnecessary for a Kryptonian. Dwarf star matter perhaps?

Perhaps Sterling Gates will be asked back to pitch after this arc completes.
