Hey everyone, I have a quick announcement/looking for feedback. I am working on a new Supergirl project and its lead to me needing to rearrange the Supergirl theme song. I'm not a musician so I am not expecting huge results but I did manage to do it in Garageband. Because of that, I have two new versions of the Supergirl theme. One is a piano version, and one is a harp version. I've added them to your members only section. Since you all are members here on the forum, this seemed like a perfect place to announce it.

First, I don't really want to advertise this much. I want to continue to promote the soundtrack and by no means is this a replacement for the soundtrack. Its not even that good. That said I'd like to keep this in the members section so if you're a member help yourself, but no need to spread it around if you download it.

Secondly, I am looking for feedback. This was my first foray into Garageband and I want to know what you think of the tracks. What can I do better? What did you like about it? Could you imaging hearing this in a video? (the second part of my secret project I am working on).

Thanks for your help, have a good weekend and only 50 days to go!
You will give the people of Earth an ideal to strive towards. They will race behind you, they will stumble, they will fall. But in time, they will join you in the sun, Kal. In time, you will help them accomplish wonders.

Hearing the main theme, the piano is given preference so that version makes sense. Of course also the original song is played at a faster tempo than here (maybe 4/4 time...haven't read music since my days in my church choir). I think it's the program you use, so not much can be done about it

I must say the harps add a different style because I don't think harps are played on the original.

At first the piano was sounding like a funeral dirge, but as the song went along, it became less sad if you will.

I would like to see someone try to make the song with a pop/rock sound or maybe a dance mix as well. John Williams' Superman March got a disco treatment way back in the day including once by Meco, who took the Star War theme all the way to #1 forty years ago.

I actually like the harp version better (sorry, Kiwi). I definitely could tell the beats were tighter in the harp version. But what I love most about both? they made me remember just how much I love the theme song :D

Thanks, admin. Job well done.
