it wasn't an "anonymous source" it was PR work done by someone involved. Either the couple authorized these details to be shared, or they now share a publicist who did this.

That's great. I don't like prying into celebrities lives(being a cinematographer I can go by unnoticed in ways they can't), however, I would like to say congratulations to the both of them. Good on them for keeping it quiet. Hopefully they have a blessed marriage. Just wanted to give that for whatever that is worth.

Awwwww I’m happy for them, may they have many happy years together. I’m glad they were able to keep it private with the few details coming out after the fact. It’s possible Melissa was being intentionally deceptive when talking to Kevin Smith, who would’ve played along, to throw off the paparazzi. I also think Kevin is the anonymous source who gave the details to Entertainment Weekly. Here’s Kevin’s tweet from 9/3 about them.

Could be. This could have been her spring/summer project. She's an unpredictable one when it comes to marriage. This was somewhat similar to when she married Blake Jenner - no one knew about the plans it until it was officially done.

She stated in an Interview with Kevin Smith a little while back that she and Chris were eyeing a June wedding (presumably next year - or perhaps this year, I couldn't quite tell), but it appears the timetable got pushed around. It was possibly done to throw the paparazzi off the trail for a bit, or possibly it was the only time everyone invited was free. Nonetheless, the Labour Day weekend was an opportune time to do it, so they did.

My only passing query is are they postponing the honeymoon until after the initial batch of SG episodes is done (up to CoIE) - i.e. winter holiday break, or if they're going to wait until the season's shooting is done, or if they're foregoing a honeymoon altogether.

Nevertheless, it's all speculation and private life business. So, it's not really a concern except for those directly involved.

Such happy news! They really are so perfect together, and the chemistry, WOW! Hoping for much happiness and good fortune in their journey together.

Let's all just say congratulations to Melissa and Chris and be done with it...although...the two were married in Ojai, CA...which was the hometown of Jaime Sommers alias The Bionic Woman.

Ojai is also where James Olsen and Lucy Lane went for Thanksgiving in the season 1 episode "Livewire." I suspect this relationship will last longer than that one.

Good for them! My money was on a winter wedding so they could use the hiatus for their Honeymoon. I wasn't a huge fan of their show relationship, but in real life, I wish them nothing but the best!
