We'll be meeting a different version of Lucy Lane on Superman & Lois then we met on Supergirl thanks to Crisis according to showrunner.

And Jenna Dewan is coming on as Lucy, but this is not the Lucy she played on Supergirl.

No, it’s not. We were able to do that thanks to the blanket of Crisis, which sort of rewrote characters.

So not only do you get to recreate Lucy Lane, but it also gives Jenna a chance to completely reinvent a character she’s already inhabited.

Yeah. And she was so lovely and on-board and excited about it.

And what is this Lucy like?

I don’t wanna give away too much, but I’ll say she is the complete opposite of Lois. Like, Lois is very secure in her marriage to Clark and as a mother to the boys, and in her job. Lucy is none of those. [Laughs]

Well,we now know how Lucy is different post Crisis. In tonight's episode of Superman & Lois.,We learn Lucy was a member of a cult. And she nearly killed herself if Lois hadn't saved her.She was a source after that for Lois regarding bringing down this cult.

So it sounds like post Crisis Lucy Lane has a lot of demons and is very different from pre Crisis Supergirl Lucy.

This was the nail in the coffin, for me, regarding Superman & Lois. All season 1, they purposely acted as if Supergirl didn't exist. Bringing in Dewan back as Lucy was a way to rectify that, and acknowledge Supergirl. After all, the show would not have existed if not for Supergirl.

I was already waning because I care nothing for the teenage drama with the kids. So yeah. I'm done with Superman & Lois because they show absolutely no respect to their parent show.

I’m disappointed, dismayed and discussed at the lack of respect shown to Supergirl by the show it made possible. This only reinforces my decision not to watch the spin-off that I shall not name.

Yeah, I have to agree with kdogg87 and Brierrose. I was hoping to like S and L but the teen angst got to me early on, and it became very clear how much Melissa's portrayal of Supergirl stood apart from this and all other superhero depictions. So my interest faltered quickly.

I usually stay away from Screenrant but this article sums it up nicely.
