After a kinda horrible season 4 Arrow just became kinda boring for me. Doesn't help that they got rid of most of the old crew and introduced a new team. I think Arrow is running out of stories to tell. Is there a future for it? (I know it's been renewed but any hope it will be watchable)

As much as I wish the cast, crew and show well, going past five seasons tends to push the patience buttons a tad too much.

If Arrow stretches to or past seven seasons, like Smallville did, the PTB should really wrap it up and allow the actors to explore other projects on a full-time basis. It's not a knock against the cast or crew, but any superhero show that pushes past five seasons risks running out of fresh ideas and becomes too predictable and stale.

quoting Kelly:
As long as Steven Amell wants to play Arrow, the series will be renewed.

When is Amell's current contract up for renegotiation? That's what will determine how long the show runs. My gut says CW will choose to end the show rather than renegotiate a new contract.

If Season 5 was the first season I've seen I'd think it's pretty great too.
