Yeah, as long as it's Jon, I really don't care who plays him.

I was always hoping that if they did bring in Green Lantern on any of the shows it would be, Alan Scott from Earth 2, now that we have The Ray coming to the Arrow.....any of the Green Lanterns is fine with me, but I would like for them to be of the same strength level level as the new Alan Scott from Earth 2, no weakness to wood, etc....

I always think of Green Lantern as Hal Jordan, the Silver Age character, because he was the one I grew up with. I suppose that his "power ring's" inability to affect anything that was colored yellow was kind of a dumb and corny weakness. But at least it gave him a common Achilles' heel that the bad guys could exploit (similar to J'onn's vulnerability to fire).

In contrast, the Silver Age Superman was just too powerful. Originally, kryptonite was supposed to be found very rarely on Earth. But pretty soon, the writers had to have kryptonite meteorites popping up all over Metropolis, so the villains had something they could use against Superman! (Well, except for Mr. Mxyzptlk, who didn't need any extraterrestrial minerals to drive Superman crazy
