Gal Gadot was delightful. She had a very powerful presence in the film. Much like Melissa B.
My wife even agreed to go see it with me, and she's not a superhero movie fan. And she actually liked it. She was very impressed by Gal.
I think the best origin movie to date has been Captain America; The First Avenger. WW achieved the same sort of balance of heart, humor, hero, action, and Easter eggs.

I really liked this movie and the cast. :) I had not expected to since I didn't like many of the superhero movies I watched earlier to just understand what everyone was talking about in Supergirl forums.

It was a very well done film. The director got the essence and gist of the character properly. the story was solid and the choice of actors was appropriate. I enjoyed it a lot and it finally did justice to the long-maligned female lead protagonist in the superhero genre.

I didn't know she was maligned. Why is that so?

*****

Correction: Wonder Woman wasn't maligned, but the female lead superhero genre was due to the lack of successful films or TV shows and pitiful amounts released over the years. This is mostly due to Hollywood's male-dominated culture.

Now THIS is how you display woman power! Good writing! Let the narrative speak for itself. There were times they could have went off the rails and pandered, but they didn't, which made these moments that much more powerful. Bravo DCEU!

I absoutle loved the film

1. Good script and story that was simple to under stand
2. Gal Gadot absoutle nailed it as Wonder Woman.
3. Chris pine as Steve Trevor also nailed the character as well.
4. Robin Wright, Connie Nelson out standing performance's as their character.
5. The chemistry between Gal Gadot & Chris Pine reminded me of Chemistry Between Marget Kidder &
Chirstopher Reeve and they could play off each other.
6. The humor in the film.
7. My top scence's in the movie battle on bench, Diane going in to no man's land and just opening an can of wipe ass on the German soldier. But the scence later that night in the village where Steve Trevor and Diane dancing just classic.
In all I give this movie four star's.

Up until this movie, IMO the best superhero origin film was the first Iron Man....Though yes I loved Donner's Superman.

Kelly, I would assume that includes Superman: The Movie (1978).

I have read in a couple of reviews online that the movie also has a bit of the charm and humor of the Richard Donner Superman films with Christopher Reeve. And not to spoil things, but I did see online a clip where Diana and Steve meet up with some thugs. But just as the armed thugs fire their guns on the two, Diana steps in and deflected the bullets with her gauntlet...

It's a sort of take on this Reeve and Margot Kidder scene...

Agreed. Loved how they incorporated and explained her back story. Made me adore her character even more. Gal was a PERFECT cast to pull it all together and make it incredible to watch.
