OK, how many Greg Berlanti clones do we think are out there to handle this workload?

On the strength of Doom Patrol, I would give both a shot. Green Lantern was one of my favorites.

Well I think Berlanti worked on the Ryan Reynolds Green Lantern movie and it didn't turn out so well. Second chance perhaps?

The WB and CW seem to give this guy unlimited chances because he generates money for them.

Quality isn't the goal, quantity and viewership numbers (on or through any medium or platform) is their end game. That is why a large chunk of the new offerings coming on board in 2020 and beyond will be via subscription streaming services rather than traditional OTA / digital broadcasts.

And, yeah, I tend to agree, some second chances have worked and some will likely fall equally flat as the first attempt.
