I am sure I am not the only one wondering about the Gemma/Gamemnae transformation at the end of Supergirl S5... A Medusa-like terminator goddess?

Also, who is the mysterious "her" Gamemnae reports to?

When Brainiac 5 transported the Ancients/Gods to the bank tube... I mean the Colu shrink tube, what prevented Gamemnae's teleport back to the ship and the shrink tube? Was it somehow her mysterious superior?

Gamemnae's outfit looked a little Atlantian to me, similar to something Mera might have worn in Aquaman. In the comics, Gamemnae was associated with Atlantis. So, perhaps that is what the costume designer had in mind? This made me think of The Annointed One, from the comics, who believed he was an angel that fell to Earth. Gamemnae worked hard to win his favor as he was quite powerful. Could Supergirl be going for a female take on The Annointed One?

Curious to hear from others what their thoughts are of Gamemnae's transformation and who she works for? Since season 5 ended early and we were left with a cliffhanger, will this story be resolved early in season 6 or now play out longer as part of the overall season 6 story arc?

Thoughts? Theories?

Excellent points.

It's possible that the Coluan shrink tube only works in proximity to the object or objects being shrunk (Kandor, and not all of Krypton, anyone?!). That's another interesting set of possibilities or conjecture points to consider.

As for Gamemane's outfit/overall appearance, it's possible that there is an Atlantean connection that might be incorporated in Season 6. Again, it's pure conjecture until we know and see more from the Season 6 production shots /synopses / episode airings.

As for the Anointed One, it's also possible (quite likely) that the PTB are using a female interpretation rather than the traditional male one. As with anything, it's pure conjecture until we see more information from the production sources and actual TV airings. ;)

Sounds plausible to me.

I'm not sure I'll even remember anything we speculate here by next season! :D
