I did an informal check of my impression that Kara/SG has less screen time this season than in previous seasons. Granted some scenes are longer than others, but for example:
Season 2 Episode 8 (Supergirl Lives!) she is in 18 of 30 scenes. (and many of hers are long ones).
Season 5 Episode 8 (The Wrath of Rama Khan) she is in 12 of 30 scenes.

Thanks for digging into the numbers. A full accounting would be very intensive and time consuming. :o

Oh, there are too many to list or I'll be here all night! And many of my favorites have already been mentioned. I am looking forward to re-watching the previous seasons during the long hiatus.

One sequence I haven't see listed is from season 1 when Supergirl channels such rage battling Non, followed by a very tender moment as Astra dies. The full range of Melissa's acting talents were put on display within two scenes.

Quoting Brierrose: "Before Supergirl I didn’t consider myself a “comic book person” I didn’t watch any other comic book based TV show and I don’t know what made me watch this one but from the “Pilot” the show captured me like few others have. I tried to pinpoint why that is and for me it’s the relationships between the characters. I enjoy a good action scene but if the relationships don’t click for me the show won’t hold my attention." ....."I do love that Kara isn’t perfect and her geeky side. The acting from all the cast is wonderful and Melissa is superb, she makes me believe a woman can fly."

"While Supergirl isn’t perfect the bottom line is it entertains me like few shows ever have."

"At 100+ episodes I’m not worried about the longevity of the show, like Arrow the show will end not by cancelation but when the star is ready to move on. As long as Melissa is wearing the cape the show will go on and I’ll be tuning in."

You nailed it!

In talking about what I love about Supergirl I’m not going to name specific episodes or moments. Before Supergirl I didn’t consider myself a “comic book person” I didn’t watch any other comic book based TV show and I don’t know what made me watch this one but from the “Pilot” the show captured me like few others have. I tried to pinpoint why that is and for me it’s the relationships between the characters. I enjoy a good action scene but if the relationships don’t click for me the show won’t hold my attention. That could explain why when I tried watching Arrow it didn’t work for me and Flash works for me most of the time. Kryptonians with god like powers need people around them who they care about and to keep them grounded and the show has given Kara just that. Without the supporting players I wouldn’t believe why Kara does what she does. I do love that Kara isn’t perfect and her geeky side. The acting from all the cast is wonderful and Melissa is superb, she makes me believe a woman can fly.

I have a couple of personal tests for TV shows that this show has never failed to pass. The first is can it keep my attention for an “hour” or do I find myself reaching for the book I’m reading, my phone, or getting up to do something else. That’s actually a huge one, while some shows have individual episodes that pass that test I can count one hand the number of shows that always pass at 100+ episodes. The second test is do I rewind and re-watch scenes, while some episodes have more rewinding than others this show always passes this test. While Supergirl isn’t perfect the bottom line is it entertains me like few shows ever have. While it’s not a test before this show I had never sought out an online fan group to discuss any TV show.

At 100+ episodes I’m not worried about the longevity of the show, like Arrow the show will end not by cancelation but when the star is ready to move on. As long as Melissa is wearing the cape the show will go on and I’ll be tuning in.
Hope, Help and Compassion for all

Favorite things/moments of the show. Wow, that would be a long list. In the interest of time,I'll keep it to off the top of my head. :)

Feel free to add some more as you think of them, I have some more I'd like to add.

Favourite Superheroic Montages - Firstly from Stronger Together (S1 E2) to the tunes of Pat Benatar and secondly the awesome opening minute to the Season 4 Premiere.

Favourite Episode Opening - S4 E10 Suspicious Minds - Firstly Melissa as Red Daughter then Melissa as a very funny Kara at the Exercise Class and then Melissa as heroic Supergirl. Marvelous :) :) :)

Favourite Supergirl Caring Moment - From the Season 3 Premiere Girl of Steel where instead of chasing after Robert Dubois which she might have done in her frame of mind at the time she went to check on the injured solider in a lovely tender caring moment.

Favourite Flying Scenes - There's 4:

1) Near the end of the Pilot flying through National City
2) At the start of How Does She Do It ? (S1 E4) flying through the city and chasing after the drone
3) During Medusa (S2 E8) there was a shot where the camera started from a high position and Supergirl flew towards it, just beautiful.
4) At the end of the Season 2 Finale flying over National City with the sun behind her if I recall correctly.

My favorite things and moments of the show took place in the first 3 seasons, In season 1 it was my introduction to Melissa Benoist and the character of Cat Grant. The dialogue between the two was very entertaining. And of course the entire cast.
The introduction of Chris Wood in season 2 which was a game changer. The action, drama and romantic comedy between Melissa and Chris has yet to be duplicated. It was my most enjoyable season.
Except for the way they handled Monty's return it was a very good season 3 with Reign as the main villain. Lots of action and the discovery of Argo kicked it up a notch.
There were many of my and your favorite moments throughout these seasons to list here. I suggest that we watch them again.

Season 5:

Here is a bts pic of Jon and Jesse... scroll to bottom and click attachment to enlarged.

I know people are over Lex but Cryer turned in fantastic performances, including Melissa's directorial debut Deus Lex Machina. One of the best S5 episodes.

Jesse Rath as Brainy. I loved that Brainy removed his inhibitors to reveal his new comic book accurate look. The Bottle episode rocked with multiple Brainys. But I hope we get his old personality back.

Kara's new suit reveal was exciting and her reaction to having pants was priceless but I do miss the classic skirt.

Supergirl having a big role in Crisis was awesome. I feared she'd be downplayed.

The return of the biosupersuit.

Another Harry Potter reference.

While the Kara/Lena feud was drawn out for too long and annoyed most if not all fans, we did get three outstanding episodes surrounding it: Tremors, Its a Super Life and Missing Link. I think those three sum up all the drama quite nicely.

Season 4:

Red Daughter was a highlight but it was too fleeting. Does Kara have the power she inherited when they merged back together in this post crisis world (Earth Prime)?

Elseworlds... A somewhat "naughty" Supergirl using her xray vision on Batwoman and identifying her as Kate Kane from her tattoos.

David Ajala as Manchester Black... another character gone to soon. Could he possibly exist in post Crisis? I'd love him to return.

A Harry Potter reference.

Season 3:

Crisis on Earth-X was my favorite Arrowverse crossover to date... Melissa as Kara, Supergirl and Earth X Overgirl was awesome. Note of synergy: Benoist also voiced Earth X Overgirl in the animated movie The Ray.

Season 2:

Introducing Katie McGrath as Lena.

Introduction of Chris Woods as Mon-el.

The Music Meister (Darren Criss) musical episode with The Flash! That superfriends song.

Season 1:

Cat Grant... the character I miss most. C'mon Calista gow about some zoom time on Supergirl season 6?

Supergirl/Kara meets the Flash/Barry.

The sister bond, Kara and Alex.

Aunt Astra

Other misc favorite notables over the series:

Midvale young Alex and Kara.

Brenda Strong... Lillian Luthor.

J'onn's spaceship car.
J'onn's dad.
J'onn's brother

Argo/Alura... this needs to be revisited more.

The best of best is the star Melissa Benoist, who brings The Paragon of Hope alive week after week.

One of the aspects I love about Kara/Supergirl is her dorky aspects like when she shows her love of things such as movies/tv.Like in,"Bunker Hill" when she and Brainy geek out about discussing Ed Wood. And in episode 18 this season with the "My Fair Lady" bit.Not to mention the various mentions of Kara being a fan of Star Wars and Harry Potter.I just find that aspect of her character so endearing.

Plus Kara's love of food.Again, another endearing aspect of her character.

These are small things but I do enjoy them when they pop up.
