Ok, we know Reign is going to be the big bad for season 3, but the fanboys at Comic Book Review hve come up with 8 DC Comics Characters who need to show up in season 3 (and 7 who don't)

Some of these make sense, some make me say COME ON, MAN, others I have not heard of and others that make me say, huh?

Here's the list with my thoughts...

15. SHOW UP: BRAINIAC...YES! Indigo was a pushover, bring on the big guns, avoid Brainy 5 though, as it lead to possible romance and then a dragging down relationship.

14. DON’T SHOW UP: DOOMSDAY...AGREE...we thought that who was going to show up; instead we get Reign which should be good stuff.

13. SHOW UP: FAORA...for all the Zack Snyder Man of Steel fans.

12. DON’T SHOW UP: SATURN GIRL...OK, HERE'S A FOUL. If Mon-El is going to join the Legion of Super Heroes, you have to introduce the heavenly female head of the LoSH

11. SHOW UP: MARTHA KENT...Uh...Batman Vs Superman anyone?????

10. DON’T SHOW UP: POWER GIRL...REALLY? Make Power Girl the yang to Kara's Yin. Kara is a bit of a goody two-shoes, Karen Starr wants to party and kick ass

9. SHOW UP: GILBERT GODFREY...at first I thought it was the comic with the annoying voice. But then reading him, he could be used as political propaganda by the writers...possible RED FLAG.

8. DON’T SHOW UP: LOBO. I agree; "The Main Man" has NO PLACE here!

7. SHOW UP: DR. SIVANA...That could mean bring on Mary Marvel...SHAZAM!

6. DONT SHOW UP: KRYPTO...As much as Melissa Benoist loves puppies, this makes sense. No super-pets AT ALL. Sorry Streaky, that mean you too, as much as I love both dogs and cats.

5. SHOW UP: MADAME XANADU...not sure who she is so no judgement

4. DON’T SHOW UP: MONGUL..Agree...too powerful a villain.

3. SHOW UP: LEX LUTHOR...ABSOLUTELY! If you have Lena, you gotta have Lex. But I hope Lena can smack the taste out of her brother's mouth just to teach him a lesson.

2. DON’T SHOW UP: LOIS LANE...agreement. She got mentioned, and that should be it.

1. SHOW UP: SUPERBOY...Kon-El in this case...I think it would be like doing a mini-Mon-El though.

One character I wish cold be written in would be a Grandma Danvers. Thing is though I would have to use the LONE SURVIVOR from the Adventures of Superman TV show of the 50's, namely Phyllis Coates, who is age 90 at last count. Would she be up for it though?

From what i've heard (from Ken/Pursuit23 on twitter. Whose been pretty spot on with stuff before) when Mon-el returns from the wormhole/future it's as a Legion member.... With a ring on it. Wether or not we'll see Saturn Girl remains to be seen.

Also, i hope we DO get Brainiac 5 at some point.

"Krypto: No super pets. If they must give Kara some kind of pet, go the DC Animated Universe route and make it a regular Earth animal. On Superman: TAS and JLU, Streaky was an ordinary Earth cat who lived in Kara’s bedroom on the Kent farm"

Streaky was also an ordinary Earth cat in the Supergirl comics of the early 80s.

When we see Mon -El's return do I wonder if will see #SaturnGirl of the Legion Of Superheroes make her appearance. If so I like to see David Rappaport cast actress #PetyonRoiList to play the character. i think she would give a decent performance of the hero and i think she'sd have so much fun working on the show given the opportunity. She'd be the one who was working with Mike in training him with his powers and being a better hero in his return to Kara especially with the threat of Reign

I would be perfectly happy if none of these characters ever show up. However, some of them inevitably will.

Brainiac: Assuming Laura Vandervoort is interested and available, I’d much rather they bring back Brainiac 8 and make her more powerful, rather than bringing in another Brainiac.

Doomsday: DCEU just did him, no need for him here.

Faora: Between Astra and Non in season 1 and Reign in season 3, they’re already doing enough with the “evil Kryptonians” trope. No need for any more of them.

Saturn Girl: I don’t know too much about the Legion, but I understand that the show has been hinting at them since season 1. I think her eventual appearance is inevitable.

Martha Kent: What could Martha bring to the table that Eliza Danvers doesn’t? There’s no need to bring in Martha.

Power Girl: This could work, but the producers would probably have to ignore their unwritten rule that transdimensional doppelgangers are always played by the same actor. Melissa Benoist has the acting chops, but not the physicality that Power Girl is typically known for.

Glorious Godfrey: The article mentions an Apokolips tie-in for this character. Anything related to Apokolips has no place on this show (and is probably off-limits anyway, due to the movies).
If they ignore that aspect, and have him trashing Supergirl and other heroes in the media, that could work. We saw a little of that in season 1, with Maxwell Lord and Leslie Willis.
I was disappointed with how CatCo was downplayed in season 2, and this could work well in giving more screentime to that part of Kara’s life—especially if Cat is around more.

Lobo: I’ve seen it said in other forums that the only way Lobo could be done right in live-action would be an R-rated movie. I’m not overly familiar with the character, but from what I do know, that seems about right. Back in season 1, J’onn and Alex hinted (without naming him) that he exists in this universe, but that brief exchange is all the screentime Lobo should get on this show.

Dr. Sivana: I don’t think I have ever heard of this character before.

Krypto: No super pets. If they must give Kara some kind of pet, go the DC Animated Universe route and make it a regular Earth animal. On Superman: TAS and JLU, Streaky was an ordinary Earth cat who lived in Kara’s bedroom on the Kent farm.

Madame Xanadu: As with Dr. Sivana, I’ve never heard of her before.

Mongul: No. Let the DCEU have him.

Lex Luthor: Not any time soon. If they go the route of turning Lena evil, there is no need for him. If they keep her good, maybe bring in Lex around season 5 or 6.

Lois Lane: No.

Kon-El: Whatever they might do with him would probably be too similar to what is already being done with Mon-El, so I vote no.

Another actress who could play Alex's grandmother is Carol Burnett. She was technically the first one to play Supergirl, in a TV comedy skit in 1962.

Before we start bringing in characters from other DC comics, why not bring in some of Kara's friends from earlier Supergirl stories in Action Comics? For starters, how about Donna Storm and Debbie Porter, two of Kara's former sorority sisters from Stanhope College? I'd love to see Kara reunite with people from her past, and possibly have them become a part of the Supergirl Team!
