I'm genuinely curious if any members here watched Glee when Melissa was a part of the cast? Glee was such a huge television phenomenon that reached many people and since this site's members range in age from boomers to millenials/gen-z I'm wondering how many people here watched the show while she was in it (or not).

I was a big fan of Glee (it aired when I was in my early twenties, I'm currently 28, and I'd watch episodes of it to de-stress from college) and I remember when Melissa joined the cast I was completely skeptical that her character would take. But her voice was/is phenomenal! Since the musical crossover episode I've been revisiting her old Glee covers. She has such a beautiful and strong voice, I'm hoping we get another musical episode.

If you did watch Glee, which of her covers did/do you enjoy the most?

My two favorite covers she was a part of are: (1) Tell Him and (2) Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend/Material Girl

I watched the season or so Melissa was in. Kinda lame how they unceremoniously wrote off most of the "new" cast, including her.

I have watched (and rewatched) the season and a half that Melissa was in Glee. Her singing voice is amazing and clearly stands out from the rest during most of the musical numbers she is in. I feel she was underutilized in Season 5 and did not like the direction they took with her character so I much prefer Season 4. Understandably though she was not available after Episode 13 due to her Supergirl commitments.

My favorite covers are 1) Everytime, 2) Chasing Pavements, 3) Tell Him and 4) Blow Me (One Last Kiss) although I really love everything she sang and have a playlist on my iTunes of them all.

Yes, in my opinion Season 1 and Season 4 (the high school portion) were the 2 best seasons.

As far as covers?

New York State of Mind (her version only, I was never very fond of Lea Michele's character or voice) but you can find Melissa singing the entire song on You Tube.

Another favorite of mine was Blow Me One Last Kiss...

I have never watched Glee. Thankfully my granddaughter did and loved Marley. She therefore nagged us to watch Supergirl to see Melissa, and the rest -as they say- is history.

I have, again courtesy of my granddaughter, seen youtube videos of I suspect all of Melissa’s songs. I agree she has an excellent voice. My favourites are New York State of Mind and Chasing Pavements.

Incidentally, it is only because of Melissa’s involvement that I can even begin to forgive Glee from ruining the most important piece of music of the last century: SPLHCB of course!.

Not even a Glee thing, but I absolutely adore her rendition of "Moon River" in the Flash crossover episode, "Duet".

I thought it was beautiful as well, but the chick can saaaaaaang, and they didn't even touch it with their choice of song for her.

She can belt it.....

By the way: season 4, episode 7 (Dynamic Duets) 2:50 seconds into it, she's asked "Are you jumping on this superhero bandwagon?" and she answers "Club where you have to wear full-body Spandex? Not really my thing"!

I have never seen an episode of Glee, though I would love to watch it. But, when I was listening to Christmas music on Pandora, "The First Noel" was playing. I thought the singer's voice sounded familiar, then I found out it was Melissa! :D
by the way, I'm 14.

I just watched the "Unaired Christmas Special" on Glee. In it, Melissa sings "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"... the same song playing at the Christmas party when she fights Reign.
She has a great voice!

Good catch!
Wouldn't it have been a hoot if, in the middle of her fight with Reign, Kara would have stopped and said, "hey, I know that song!" :D I'm sure Reign would have been up for a mid-fight duet ;)
