For me, I think with this show and this character addition... I have reservations due to its ship problems. I had the same reservations when Alex's story was foretold--which, sadly, those very fears came to fruition.

I also read a tweet from a TG actress who auditioned for the part who was offended by the dialogue--stating it felt the writers hadn't done enough research.

So, thats my biggest reservation--that this awesome cast will take more blow back, when us fans who've stayed with them know, their hearts are truly in the right place.

As far as the new big bad... I also had fears about the direction they were going to take with Agent Liberty. But, with all their talk yesterday about us all needing to come together and start listening to each other, I started developing hope. That was, until interviews with Mechad and Katie. Sounded worse than I first feared--having a charismatic villian who "leads away" people with good intentions. But especially from Mehcad and Katie... You know exactly to whom they are comparing Liberty and his followers. I was talking with one of our other forum members who made a great point, though, actors are human and sometimes inject their personal understanding of what's to come, but are proven to be off as a story unfolds.

But, I always remain a fan. Great cast. Great hearts.

I wonder if or how this will affect the viewership? Sometimes going too PC has real world consequences. I'm not sure if the PTB are consciously trying to be more socially inclusive for its own sake or trying to fatally sabotage and harm the show.


Let's see how things go down before all going overboard and bailing.
