Great new promo from CW, although many object to the term CWVerse.

But then Berlanti produces several other shows both on the CW and elsewhere.I mean I don't consider the Archie Comic shows like Riverdale and Katy Keen(which was canceled) a part of the same universe as the DC Comic shows.

And the Sabrina series! ?

I hadn't heard about Katy Keene getting the axe. A spin off too far, I guess.

Yes, Sabrina too.I believe Netflix has canceled that as well.

I think people are overthinking this. They used the CWVerse name in the comic book inspired trailer(released at San Diago Comic Con) last year too.

I think for most people,it's just the Arrowverse which is referring to all the DC superhero shows on that specific network.

On twitter,Stephen Amell called it the Berlantiverse.

Which includes shows like Stargirl,Titans and Doom Patrol that are also produced by Berlanti but not set on Earth Prime. And Stargirl is included in the trailer even though it's set on the new Earth 2(and there is already talk of doing a crossover with The Flash or Supergirl down the line).

But then Berlanti produces several other shows both on the CW and elsewhere.I mean I don't consider the Archie Comic shows like Riverdale and Katy Keen(which was canceled) a part of the same universe as the DC Comic shows.

It makes sense if you think logically:

All Arrowverse is Berlantiverse. All Berlantiverse is CWVerse (however this statement will backfire if Berlanti has other projects outside of CW). Therefore all Arrowverse is CWVerse.

Stargirl is in the trailer. She is Berlantani and CWVerse, however it is not 100% clear yet if she is Arrowverse. Therefore the trailer is correct in referencing the CWVerse.

I have long used Berlantiverse as the whole for Greg Berlanti shows in which Arrowverse is a major subset.

However, there would be no Arrowverse without CW, so I have no objection to the term CWVerse. CW has supported and nurtured the franchise.

Aroowverse will never lose its place in pop culture.

... but I could see a fun cameo from Riverdale's Cheryl Blossom in her red archer outfit sending an arrow or two on one of the DC shows. :D
