In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunners reaffirmed there longstanding commitment to the character: "We just want our viewers to be assured that Kara can still take down villains without help. Even if the Dreamer or Brainy or Alex isn't there, Kara can still succeed as she is a tremendously powerful Kryptonian with many powers and resourcefulness."

Are we sure Atlantis was an April Fool gag? Cisco on Flash looks to be headed there...

Sad that such a large ratio of posts on this forum have turned towards mocking the show. It's definitely a commentary on both state of the show and the state of us, as a fandom.

Yep. You are correct on all counts.

Sad that it came to this. Sad that the writers have habitually neglected the titular character. Sad that they maintained that course, despite many fans expressing frustration with it. Sad that those fans have given up hope of seeing a turnaround.

It's okay though. If this break has taught me anything, it's how much I miss looking forward to new episodes.
