Let's face it, Alex Danvers is too good these days to be called "Director Danvers"!

The time for her to have her own code-name is long overdue! Superheroes aren't the only ones with code-names. It's a known fact that government agents also have code-names.

My personal choice: Black Zero

In the DC Comics lore, Black Zero has been a name shared by:

- Two supervillains
- Two terrorist organizations
- One Kryptonian special forces group
- A computer virus

In other related media, it was shared by:

- The terrorist group led by Zod on Smallville.
- The Kryptonian spaceship used to transport criminals into the Phantom Zone in the film Man of Steel.
- The terrorist organization on Krypton.

Besides, if the CW can turn Agent Liberty from hero to villain, then why not turn Black Zero has a name for a hero instead of a villain!

My choice would be...AGENT "X!" Her name is Alex...and give her some kind of tricked out motorcycle as she has ridden them I believe. Although in his fan fictions, Stewart Tick has Alex driving a Toyota RAV4 SUV, which is what I drive. Perhaps make it into something like the Batmobile or The Black Beauty, "streamlined car of The Green Hornet!"

I've also had Alex riding DEO motorcycles (presumably black) in my fan fiction stories. I've had Dick Malverne riding a motorcycle, too, but he has one of his own. They will take their motorcycles if they need to get somewhere fast (and don't want to get bogged down in traffic in National City).
Actually, I gave all the major characters cars that I felt matched their personalities. Yes, Alex has a blue Toyoto RAV4. And Eliza has a red Jeep Wrangler. Lena has a Tesla Model 3. Dick Malverne has a sports car, a convertible (but I can't remember exactly what make and model I gave him right at the moment).

Thus far the EPs have resisted the temptation to give Alex a slew of bat-like gadgets. She’s got her Winn made gun and suit with magnetic gloves but that’s it. IMO at this point they can be trusted not to go overboard with the gadgets. A tricked out motorcycle would be perfect for Alex. LoL if Batwoman has a batcycle maybe that’s what gives Alex the idea to ask Brainy or possibly Lena to help her trick out her Ducati.

Any code name would almost have to be a letdown. Alex is so badass, she doesn't need one.

Like Chuck Norris. :D

What would also be nice is if they actually let Alex be the Director, she was for like 5 minutes of Season 4 before Haley came in and took over.

I actually quite like the name Director Danvers and would be quite happy if they kept calling her that, it also to me establishes her position at the top of the D.E.O much like the top person in the Army is called General.

Me, too! :)
I'd also like it if we were reminded that Alex was trained as a biomedical engineer from time to time. She has specialized scientific knowledge and could certainly hold her own when "talking science" with Lena and Brainy. I'd like to see that on the TV show. (We really haven't since Season 1.) In my fan-fiction stories, I have in fact continued to use Alex as a "science person" as well as a DEO agent.

Didn't J'onn, as Hank, use a name for Alex when she was on the field during Season 1? It seemed like they had names that they occasionally used for each other over the COMMS.

That said, I'm not sure that she actually needs one. Actions speak louder than words or, in this case, titles. She's proved that Agent Danvers is enough of a title to be feared ;) . And personally speaking, I prefer Agent over Director. I'd much rather see her out in the field, in action beside Kara than sitting in a DOE building giving orders.

She's too young to be regulated to such a position - not taking away from the position because it's a very distinguished one and a worthy goal to shoot for eventually. But, not yet for her.

Yep. IIRC, J'onn was "Greyhound." The field team was "Trap One," and Alex was "Trap Leader."

They were the callsigns used by the Brigadier and UNIT squads in the classic Doctor Who era. The United Nations Intelligence Taskforce and the DEO shared pretty much the same remit. After the pilot, when I summarized the story for MrsPrime, I remarked, "Supergirl totally works for UNIT."

I thought they had names and that Greyhound one sounds especially familiar. "Trap Leader" doesn't really have a distinguishable ring to it :D . But, I suppose, as Director she would now be known as the "Greyhound" - unless there's some rule that names are retired when the person retires - kind of like an NBA jersey :D .

I haven't watched the Doctor Who series, so I'm not in tune with the UNIT.
