First of all great news of course, Supergirl and many other favourites have been renewed.

Unfortunately in my opinion, Arrow shouldn’t have been. I think Arrow has stagnated ever since season 4. I had to force myself to watch 5, and didn’t even make it past the first few episodes of 6. I think the story potential has run out.

First the characters get rotated in and out and they try to milk suspense from it. Old characters leave, gets teased to return, leave, return again, it’s predictable, and boring.

Second I personally don’t quite care about his new team. After that many seasons of watching the old guys, nope.

Third the heavy team focus has heavily eroded the point of Arrow himself. It’s basically implied if Oliver is gone, others can double as The Green Arrow no problem, and the team, not Arrow, is what keeps the peace.

And there’s the rotational romance. I don’t care who Oliver is with anymore. It’s just going to change a few weeks later.

Who still watches and likes Arrow here? Feel free to say a few things.

Hey that is interesting - the CW hasn't really announced Arrow S7 as its final season. They very usually say that on every show they want to end when renewals are announced. So I think there will still be another season after S7, but probably just like how they did it with "Nikita". The CW I think announced before the penultimate season of Nikita ended, that the show would end on the next one, but with only 6 episodes in it. That gave the writers a chance to properly close the series.

If you ask me, I really don't like the other Team (Terrific, Black Canary, and Wild Dog). If I were Oliver I wouldn't care how they felt - they've done real well as Original Team Arrow way before.

What I'm very interested to see is Caty Lotz (Sara Lance) guest starring on the S6 season finale. In my opinion she was the best Black Canary on Arrow. (Probably the best scene of the series is where she, Oliver, and Diggle revealed and compared their scars at each other as an awed Felicity looked on).

I'm certainly not surprised it was renewed. However, I was surprised that there has been no indication of an announcement that S7 will be the final season. With 2018-19 being the last year on Stephen Amell's current contract and the declining Nielsen ratings, I had figured CW would want to end the show when Amell's contract ends. Also, they have already brought on "Black Lightning," to replace Arrow as CW's "gritty" superhero show (they don't need more than 1).
Disclaimer: I don't watch Arrow, so I can't speak to the storyline elements you mentioned.

Well, if it's any consolation the team is off doing their own thing now, so it's just Oliver, Diggle, and Felicity left on Team Arrow, and Oliver is back to being the Green Arrow. This season has a lot of plot holes, but it's still more enjoyable than season 4.

I think one of the problems with Arrow, as well Supergirl to some extent, and Flash especially, is that they're too often stuck in their respective cities which gets kind of bland after a while. I'd like to see them get out more. Go on a quest or a road trip or something. Some of the best episodes are ones where they're not in their cities, e.g. Midvale, or the Deathstroke episodes on Arrow this season.
Imra: "What about Tommy and Gina? 'You live for the fight when it's all that you've got!'"

Mon El: "Bon Jovi."

Imra: "Or was that all a lie?"

Mon El: "No. He speaks the truth."

I knew they'd renew it. I think if and when CW tries to pull the plug on Arrow, they'll give it a "final" season, so they can wrap things up. CW is usually pretty good about that stuff.

But I agree that Arrow is, by far, the weakest of the CW shows, right now. And yes, the way they implied Oliver wasn't needed to be the Green Arrow by putting Diggle in the costume for multiple episodes was super annoying.

We'll learn more at the CW Up Fronts, in May. It's entirely possible that it may be the last season. As Amell's current contract is up after season 7.

Flash hits episode 100, next year, and Supergirl hits syndication numbers. Supergirl hits episode 100 the FOLLOWING year, and, depending on how many episodes they order of Legends of Tomorrow, the next 2 seasons, it might hit syndication numbers the same year Supergirl hits episode 100.

The point being, CW has this really well orchestrated timeline of milestones, ahead, for The Flash, Supergirl, and Legends of Tomorrow.

Arrow, on the other hand, is already into syndication numbers and well past episode 100, and has no big milestones on the horizon. Yes, the more episodes they get, the better those syndication/streaming deals get. But still...3 out of the 6 existing seasons have been lackluster, and the numbers are free falling.

Arrow has been borderline acceptable, even in it's bad seasons. But 6 has been the weakest, in my opinion. I used to watch every week, the day of, or the next day. I'm now 3 episodes behind (even factoring in that recent hiatus).
