Most people on this board seem to agree that so far, the writing for season 3 has improved. Does the improved writing have anything to do with Ali Adler not serving as showrunner anymore? Are Queller and Rovner just better at running the show than she was?

Were the suits at the CW and WBTV not happy with the show's writing and blamed her and forced her to leave? Adler never gave an explanation for her leaving the show.

or maybe she didnt want to move to Vancouver but still greatly cares about the show and agreed to stay on as showrunner until the new ones were all set and stable. she is the showrunner for Dynasty, a CBS production on the CW; so it would seem the networks are fine with Ali. Not everything is a scandal guys

Agreed!

Ali was already stepping down in s2 so I'm not sure how anybody could 'blame' her for it.

I'm assuming that the 'underwhelming' writing from some of s2 had to do with the change in network. The show needed to find its footing on the cw and now that it has I suspect the writing/storylines should get better.
