Tonight,Batwoman and DC Legends Of Tomorrow were both canceled by The CW.Batwoman ends with season 3.Legends on season 7.

Batwoman is ending on a setup for a story that will never be dealt with.Legends is ending on a major cliffhanger and the intro of Booster Gold.
I look at this and think of how lucky we were with Supergirl.Supergirl(and Black Lightning) got final seasons.We knew the show was ending well in advance and we got a 20 episode wrap up.Like it or hate it,Supergirl got a ending.
I now also think that if Supergirl had gone beyond season 6,we would be in the same situation as Batwoman and Legends.We would get one more season and then a sudden cancelation.
I truly feel like we got a gift by having Supergirl end when it did and under the circumstances it ended.
Supergirl got a complete series.Batwoman and Legends are not.

We, as fans, were fortunate that the Supergirl series got a final season (for either better or worse) and a proper send-off for the cast and crews. Unfortunately, other current shows in the CW fold aren't faring as well. The only remaining one is Flash from the original Arrowverse stable.
Given the ongoing turmoil and movement at the CW and WB, the Supergirl series was in a good spot to end when it did. We can all enjoy it its various formats (physical copies or streaming content) in its entirety. This is a good thing.

The only show that I'll be watching is Stargirl. There is much to like about this show. I mean you got the intro music, the classic buick car, the robot stripe, the young JSA members with their unique powers, the story is usually good and no need to drink martinis, and you got the dog.
I don't understand why you guys aren't on board.

Basically he says that these shows were warned to approach their finales as series finales since they might not be renewed and it was the showrunner's decision to end their seasons that way with the warning.
Legends co-showrunner admited a few weeks ago that he gambled on ending the season on a cliffhanger and lost.That the series ending on a cliffhanger was on him.
Again,it makes me very thankful that things ended as they did with Supergirl(and Black Lightning).
