I agree and like the fact that Kara has become more confident and sure of herself. I like that she is the supportive sibling in their relationship and Alex gets to be vulnerable.

Oh and I like Alex-Winn relationship, and its growth. I hope we get more of it.

I don't agree with the assessment of Danvers' relationship mainly because I think they should have conversations after they fight, instead of just an emotional non-verbal moment (the ship scene) and then, no talk. No conversation after Alex practically told Kara that "you are either with me or against me", no talk after the scene where Alex nearly ended up on light years away from earth because she was reckless and Kara was right. (Though Kara was naive too with the blog post; hope she learns).

Not to mention no talk at all of where Jeremiah could be now (he seems like a Jack-in-the-box, popping up at times and then hiding). They lost their father again, and they don't talk about it?

It's probably because of too many storylines going in parallel.

Lena arc has been interesting and intriguing.

M'gann's arc could have been better; a lot better. It should not have been all about J'onn's growth in the first place. M'gann grows but under the mistaken impression that J'onn taught her how to be courageous, which is not true for a person who stood up against her entire race to fight oppression. (It'd be like having Churchill or Einstein telling FDR he taught them how to be courageous and fight Nazis.)

I would have liked to see a Kara-M'gann friendship grow independent of J'onn; oh and an Alex-M'gann friendship.

Anyways, let us see what Season 3 brings.

By the way, it is not that I don't appreciate the sentiment of the your friend the reviewer Rschick or even many here about keeping things positive and even focusing on the best things about the season. I do. It's nice.

Very nice article. The writer was spot on about how Kara and Alex have grown and how their relationship has to grow and change with them. This is my favorite section.

"...There are those who feel they’ve lost the Danvers Sisters of Season One, and in a way, they have, but the Danvers Sisters of Season Two are better for it and share a deeper, stronger bond than ever before. Yes, we don’t get as many Danvers Sisters couch moments that seemed to wrap up episodes in Season One, but it’s the quality and depth of the scenes we are getting now that matter, not the quantity..."

I have tried to say the same thing a few times but this says it more eloquently than I can.

"...I would rather have the deep, rich quality of their scenes this season over last, (“Don’t make me pout. She’s really good at it.”) because it shows two characters that are growing as women, but still savor their deep connection/bond when it matters most..." To me it's these little inside joke moments that show the sister's connection as grown women who love each other but have their own lives now.
