Erica Durance Joins Crisis Crossover

It seems that this wagon is really picking up steam! The legacy casting continues for the major crisis crossover event! Yesterday we learned that Tom Welling would appear as his character Clark Kent from Smallville in the crossover. Now, TVLine.com has learned that his on-screen love, Lois Lane played by Erica Durance, will also be appearing! Fans will remember that Erica replaced Laura Benanti as Alura, Kara's Mom in season 3. Will the resemblence to Kara's mom be addressed? Who knows, this entire crossover is shaping up to be a love letter to DC's incredible on- screen history!

You're absolutly right, about that scene not containing humor, but there is the devils advocate question: for the sake of drama, should every Easter Egg always be contained in a funny scene?

Exactly, another thing to think about is how much $$$$$ are all these guest stars costing. I hope the network has a separate budget allocated for CoIE. Considering how Supergirl's been treated in past crossovers I'd rather not have the shows budget blown on this one.

I always thought that Erica was the perfect Lois Lane and brought natural chemistry between her and Tom. I feel that she is miscast as Kara's mom. I'm beginning to get a hangover from the crossover and it hasn't aired yet.

The torch from one TV Superman and Lois Lane (Tom and Erica) will be passed to another TV Superman and Lois Lane (Tyler and Bitsie).

I had little hope about Supergirl playing a significant role after seeing Flash and Arrow with the majority of airtime in the last 2 crossovers but now, I have no hope left! Ah well, I guess this might remind me about how I felt when I saw how small Captain Marvel's role was in the last Avengers. But as a whole, the movie was very good, so, I'm sure the crossover will be very exciting too. I am happy though about Erica but not that much about the fact that she's playing Lois again. I would prefer she played Kara's mom. My choice would have been Kristin Kreuk as Lana but she must be super busy with her incredible Canadian series Burden of truth.

Speaking of all the legacy casting combined with actors pulling dual roles. Has anything been said about Helen Slater? Given that she plays Eliza, She's the one actor you would think the producers would jump at the change to have her reprise her Supergirl 1984 role.
