DC Fandome Scheduling Change Up

Greetings fans, its been a while. Thank you for staying with us and we hope those of you who watched Stargirl enjoyed our coverage of it over on our sister site, Stargirl.tv. Today, we are hearing a big change up in the DC Fandome event. The viritual free event meant to cover the gaps of the since canceled San Diego Comic Con due to Covid-19, is now two events! This Saturday will cover the "Hall of Heroes" which is meant to highlight DC's feature film branch. Now, the Television side along with all the insider info has been moved to Saturday Sept 12th. Looking at the schedule we see a few insider items for Supergirl, but the panel that we thought would include Nicole Mains and David Harewood is missing. This could be a very Supergirl-less DC event.

After watching the panels for The Flash and Batwoman...I can say with relative confidence that we aren't missing much by not having a Supergirl panel. No new footage, no costume reveals, no real details given.

I was sort of expecting that. These panels were recorded several weeks ago. Before Batwoman started filming for example.

There has been some cool new story info for the new seasons though so I would of wanted a Supergirl panel just for any info about season 6.

The second day of DC Fandome is underway.I just watched the Pennyworth panel and I'm currently watching the Batman: The Joker War! panel(in a separate window).

I'm basically going to alternate for right now between TV show than comic book panel(I'm big into the comic books).I already know I'm going to watch the two Watchmen panels back to back. One is about the HBO series, the other is about the upcoming Rorschach maxi series.

ETA

It turns out the HBO series thing is just a special feature from the blu ray so I've seen it already.

So next,I'll do one of the Arroverse show panels. Not sure which one I'll pick next yet.Probably the expanded Flash panel then another comic panel.

I do like this format more where you can pick when and what order to view panels over the continuous live feed from Day 1.

Having watched all the panels at DC FanDome yesterday,

I didn't watch any, were they interesting?. I did watch most of the trailers though and picked up bits of news from around the internet. What I enjoyed the most was:

Wonder Woman 1984 - Awesome, hope it's release stays at the beginning of October as I'm really looking forward to watching on the big screen what promises to be some super cool WW action. Diana and Steve scenes should be fun, I like what Chris Pine brings to the character of Steve Trevor.

The Flash Movie - I'm liking this being the Flashpoint story. It was announced earlier in the week that Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck would be returning as their Bruce Waynes/Batmans so I wonder who else Barry will interact with (personally I'd like to see Henry Cavill as Superman, they had some fun scenes in Justice League).

Yeah, they were pretty good.I mean you knew they were all pre-recorded but lots of good info and reveals and the interplay between the guests were fun.

One of the best panels was the Multiverse 101 panel with Greg Berlanti,Walter Hamada and Jim Lee.Lots of big reveals for both movies & TV here.

@CatPat If you’re intention was misinterpreted, fair enough. I’ll consider the subject dropped.

Really... "fair enough"? I wasn't the one in toxic attack mode, so I'm really not feeling this "fair enough" thing.

Having watched all the panels at DC FanDome yesterday,I'll say that DC/WB ,made the right decision in splitting things up into two days and moving most of the TV shows and comic panels to September 12.

They would of been completely overshadowed by all the movie news and footage that dropped from the film side.

I think they should of even saved The Flash TV show and Titians panel for September 12 and there was some good stuff there(The Flash Season 7 trailer made up the non aired episode 20 which is going to make up the season 7 premiere as well as some big Titans Season 3 news) because I think it was overshadowed by all the big movie stuff.

Wow... a bit extreme and toxic.

My original post was that I wouldn't be surprised if we learned of the birth from this event. I didn't realize we would get here from that... I still say, I wouldn't be surprised... I really wouldn't and some "leaks" are quite intentional in the business.

I actually thought it was a fair assumption on my part and in no way thought it would trigger a high and mighty soapbox lecture on celebrity privacy rights. Really? Wow!

I respect boundaries of privacy, celebrity or not. But, I think a 6 week to 6 month wait to announce a celebrity birth that people are fully expecting is NOT TYPICAL in any reality. Not even in the comic book fandom world of Arrowverse.

Again, I dare say, I wouldn't be surprised if we learned of the birth in week one or two of the DC Fandome event. I am not saying we will hear or learn anything. I am not saying they should or shouldn't tell fans anything they don't want to tell them. I am merely saying, I wouldn't be surprised.

[quote name="CatPat"]I wouldn't be surprised if the news of the birth of certain baby is kept under wraps and announced at the event.
I doubt Melissa and Chris will want to have their sons birth announced at this or any event. If there’s any public announcement they’ll probably do it on IG, like they did the pregnancy announcement. They may also do no public announcement at all and the next thing we hear is that Melissa’s in Vancouver getting ready to start production. For all we know he’s already been born.

That actually was my point... the baby may have already arrived without fanfare and it will be leaked at the event.

I don't know about anyone else but I would be very disappointed if the birth of their son has already happened and Melissa and Chris haven't publicly announced it to their fans. I don't think that's the case because they don't roll that way. This is a very joyous event for them and I expect Melissa to shout it from the rooftops so all their fans can share it with them.
Anybody want to guess the weight? I say 8 pounds 8 ounces. 8)
I hope nothing is leaked, if they want to keep things private that should be honored. It's not ok for a childs birth to be publicly announced by anyone but a parent. They are under ZERO obligation to share any aspect of their private life especially something as intimate as a birth. Fans have no right to expect anything so check your disappointment. They have been fairly open on social media in the past but becoming a parent causes many people to reevaluate their relationship with social media. New parents have a lot on their plates and making a public birth announcement isn't a top priority. It's possible that in due time they will make an announcement. Birth announcements on social media typically happen anywhere from six weeks to six months after the childs birth.
