Originally titled, "Two Rings" it will be the thrid time director Kevin Smith returns to the director chair. The episode, now titled "Damage" is Supergirl's fifth episode of season 3. From the official description provided in the press release we can surmise that Morgan Edge is back and plans his first PR and perhaps other attack on Lena Luthor. In a new pairing, Samantha Arias, acting CEO of L Corp, and Kara team up to clear Lena's name after being accused of lead poising children in National City after releasing the attack on the Daxamites. Furthermore, Alex and Maggie face some hard truths. Here is the official description:
MORGAN EDGE SETS HIS SIGHTS ON LENA — When multiple children get sick from lead poisoning, Morgan Edge (guest star Adrian Pasdar) points the finger at Lena (Katie McGrath) and blames her creation of the lead bomb she made to save National City from the Daxamites. While Lena knows she never intended any harm, she fears there may have been a flaw in her design, leaving her responsible. Kara (Melissa Benoist) teams up with Samantha (Odette Annable) to clear Lena’s name, but it turns out to be harder than they thought. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (guest star Floriana Lima) make a crucial decision about the future of their relationship. Kevin Smith directed the episode written by Eric Carrasco & Cindy Lichtman

That I know is going to happen....PTB have talked about that extensively in the lead up to the premiere, so yes of course Sister time.
But of the utmost importance Kel...time with sister Kara. Last week's episode gave one perhaps a sneak preview.
I completely forgot about Winn's involvement. Knowing these writers they probably forgot too.
I would think he feels some guilt for the part he played but I have a feeling the writers won't address it. It's been months since Mon-El left, they probably want us to assume Winn has grieved the loss of his friend and moved on like everyone else (minus Kara).
By that logic, why aren't we constantly questioning Winn? His father, the Toymaker, is a murderer? Or Mon-El? His mother was an evil b*tch intent on taking over earth? Why do they get 'free passes' for their family's evil doings but Lena doesn't?
I understand that it all literally lies in her last name, but it's become such a weak argument at this point.
Oh yyyeeaahhhh...with all the focus on Lena and Supergirl's actions, totally forgot about Winn in all of this!
Like Lena does Winn feel guilty that the device he worked on may have unintentionally hurt people? I hope there's a Winn/Lena scene perhaps where they reassure each other that thier calculations were correct and the device shouldn't be responsible. Furthermore I hope we get Winn talking about his feelings about his part in sending his friend Mon-El away. Kara's not the person for this conversation but I think J'onn is.
Last season. However, not yet this season, and it's coming from a new business rival. Plus, Lena's a Luthor...the accusations are kind of hereditary. :)
Quoting Ms.Luthor:
Well, the pros and cons of the Karamel relationship are fair game, since it does have a direct bearing on the overall darker story arc this season. However, one aspect that fans and haters tend to overlook about it is that in general, relationships AREN'T a matter of equal compatibility, even in matters of ethics and views on morality. Often the negative view has been on the order of "he's not right for her!" or "she compromised her feminist values!", without taking into account that feminism isn't a strict set of them to begin with. As with most real relationships, the reasons for the eventual pairing can get complicated.
Lena's brother tried to destroy California (I will refrain from making an obvious joke here, but it's hard); her mother headed up a xenophobic terrorist organization; whatever she renamed her corporation, it's still the financial base for her sibling's evil plots; as Morgan Edge nastily but accurately pointed out, Lena built the portal that brought the Daximites to Earth (with just her word she didn't know Rhea's plans) and then set off Lex's anti-alien weapon of mass destruction with pretty dubious authorization, and no time for an environmental impact statement.
So, it's pretty clear that lots of people would have solid reasons to distrust her. We (the audience) only give her a pass because we saw her actions and her reasons for them in real time.
In the "real world", Lena would spend the rest if her life going to congressional hearings and dealing with lawsuits.
