Well it seems the more heroes we add to the mix, the worse the situation is getting! The Anti-Monitor is growing and growing in power and that is making the Monitor less powerful. The team is now relying on Ray Palmer's paragon detector to find the remaining three heroes that can stop the Crisis. With Kara, Superman KC, Batwoman and Sarah Lance already discovered, it's anyones guess who could be the final three! It's been a wild ride so far and after tonight, more than a month's wait until the conclusion! Here's what stood out to us!
- The Paragon Hunt: The Paragon tracking device is back up and running after Cisco and Ray work to repair it. The final paragons are identified. The Flash is Love, Martian Manhunter is Wisdom, and a new Paragon, the paragon of Humanity was discovered. Monitor announces that the Anti-Monitor has perverted Harbinger into serving him. Cisco locates a source of the anti-matter and is run into by the Monitor who restores his powers as Vibe.
- Pariah: Nash was fooled into finding the Anti-Monitor. He felt that the Monitor was a false god and wanted to expose him. Batwoman and Supergirl go to interrogate Lex to find out how he used the Book of Destiny. Batwoman slams Lex up against the wall and he explains how to use it, but doing so could drive the user mad like it did in Elseworlds. Kara seems determined. Then on Earth 666, Lucifer Morningstar owes a favor to John Constantine. He gives them a way to get into purgatory to get Oliver's soul back. Back on Earth 1, Cisco gets the door open to where the Anti-Matter cannon is. They find that Flash from Earth 90 is powering the device by running on the treadmill.
- Ryan Choi: Ray Palmer, Iris and Ralph head to Ivy Town to get Ryan Choi. After revealing their powers, Ryan believes that they are heroes, but he wants to go home if the world is ending. After Choi leaves, the wave takes out another Earth. Only 7 remain now. We discover that the Monitor had a family but he lost them and his world. Back at the Anti-Monitor room, Black Lightning seems to appear. Pariah brought him there. HIs world was destroyed and he is the only survivor. Jefferson is told that he needs to stop the anti-matter device by absorbing its energy. Kara goes to use the book but Kate won't let her. She says she has to stop Kara from using the Book. As a paragon, if the book messes up Kara, they loose the Paragon of Hope, Kara decides not to use the book.
- Purgatory: The team is hunting for Oliver's soul and they find him. But he is very disoriented. He takes the team out pretty fast but Diggle is able to reach him and calm him down. Iris was able to convince Ryan to join the team and help save humanity. Barry prepares to sacrifice himself to stop the anti-matter cannon but Flash from Earth 90 steals Barry's power and let's Flash 90 onto the treadmill to run it backward. Earth 1 is spared but but Flash 90 is gone.
- The Spectre: Corrigan comes to find Oliver in Purgatory and gives him the powers of the Spectre. Accepting these powers means that Oliver can't return. Down to just one Earth, the heroes that remain take stock of what is left. So many deaths, so many losses. Barry goes to comfort Jefferson who's lost everything. Kate goes to apologize to Kara. Kate reveals that she has Kryptonite. It is her only advantage over Kara. Kate offers to give it to Kara but Kara says she has the courage to trust her to keep it. Layla then reveals she is on the Anti-Monitor's side and announces it's time to end the age of heroes!
In the final wrap up moments of the episode, Lyla attacks the heroes and brings them all down. She then takes down the Monitor and absorbs his powers. The Anti-Matter wave is restored and Earth 1 is destroyed. Only the heroes on the Waverider are alive. Pariah sends the Paragons away. They are sent to the Vanishing point. Everyone else is gone. Only the seven remain. Superman KC falls and is burned away. It turns out Lex Luthor wrote himself in as a Paragon!
