Striker's Island is a big place in the world of DC Comics. Much like The Flash has his own meta human prison, all the criminals that Superman has captured have gone to Strikers Island. Especially because Lex Luthor was there, Kara and Lena head to his cell and see if there are any clues. While there, Kara tries to befriend a prisoner there, guest star Willie Garson. Just as you'd expect, a prison riot breaks out and now Kara has to get the situation under control while keeping her identity a secret. Of course that's not all that the episode have to offer, check out the full synopsis below:
WILLIE GARSON GUEST STARS — Kara (Melissa Benoist) and Lena (Katie McGrath) head to Stryker’s Island to search for clues on how to defeat Lex. At the prison, Kara tries to befriend a nosy prisoner, Steve (guest star Willie Garson), who may have insight into what Lex was doing, while Lena studies an array of puzzles Lex left behind in the hopes of discovering his whereabouts. While there, a prison riot breaks out and Kara must find a way to stop the prisoners without revealing her secret identity as Supergirl. Meanwhile, Kelly (guest star Azie Tesfai) encourages James (Mehcad Brooks) to talk to someone for his PTSD, and Alex (Chyler Leigh) faces off against Ben Lockwood (Sam Witwer) after he storms the DEO and acquires some powerful weapons to hunt Supergirl. Antonio Negret directed the episode with story by Rob Wright and teleplay by Lindsay Sturman & Aadrita Mukerji (#418). Original airdate 4/21/2019.
Updated as of April 11th! Here is the new synopsis, check out the differences from above:

I have to agree with Brierrose. I was looking forward to seeing Kara work some Supergirl magic without anyone catching on. Melissa is always good in those scenes, which sadly are far too rare.
One of the coolest things about this website, for me, is what I can learn from those of you who are far more versed in comic history and lore that I am. This is but one of many examples, but I truly am in awe of the accumulated knowledge and history that some of you bring to this site. Thanks for sharing!
As for the prison riot, which could also have hints of comedy as Melissa tries to do the dual role without giving it away, it's reminiscent of the 16th episode of the Superman Radio show from 1940 called "The Prison Riot."
Clark Kent has just been assigned to rent a car and go to San Miguel Penitentiary to pick up Lois Lane, who is doing a story about the prison. San Miguel Penitentiary is also the same prison to which the Yellow Mask's henchmen the Wolfe and Keno were taken. Wolfe and Keno attempt a prison break when all you know what breaks loose...and it's up to Superman to calm things down.
You can listen to it here.
And it finishes here
Of course Bud Collyer is Kent and Superman. Whether the writers know it or not, they have in a way, given a shoutout to the golden age of radio.
Easter or not, Sundays just feel wrong for the Girl of Steel.
Even without Alex's ridiculous bodyguard assignment, it only makes sense that as the head of the Bureau/Dept. of Alien Affairs, Lockwood would be fully aware of the DEO, its remit, and its capabilities.
And the DEO still has better security than STAR Labs.
When it come to SG writers. I got 99 problems, but that glitch ain't one.
I knew that bringing Lockwood to the DEO last time, so that Alex could be his bodyguard would come back to bite them in the... ;) It seems everybody knows where the DEO is these days. A covert organization that's not so covert.
I won't be back in time from my Easter diner to watch it live. This is the first time during the season 4 that I will miss an episode live. Why did the CW decide to air it that night? Why? Why? ;)
The episode sounds like it will have plenty to offer. I just hope I'm back home from Easter celebrations in time to see it live!
