Fighting bad guys left and right, entering into a new romance with an alien race that typically hates you, starting a new career path only to get fired shortly after, poor Kara Danvers is in big need of some time with her mentor Cat Grant. Well Supergirl fans, that is exactly what she is going to get! Today we can officially confirm that Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant will be returning to Supergirl for the final TWO episodes of the season! All the quick verbal jabs and Cat Grant-isms are what's been sorely missed this season and with Superman's return officially announced, this is the icing on the cake! Any time Melissa shares a scene with Calista, the emotional power skyrockets! We couldn't be more excited for her return!

You're pretty much the same as me Brandtm2, the other characters are nice and all (with MM being my favourite) but it's truly only Supergirl that I watch the show for.
Oh - I agree with you there...No, I don't want to see Cat leave, either. But if the writers are in fact planning to get rid of her, I'd certainly rather see Cat retire than get killed! :)
I'm more concerned that rather than kill off the character she leave Catco, retire and disappear. I still watch the show because Supergirl is the main attraction but Cat's departure was an unfortunate loss.
All that keeps me watching the show is Supergirl herself. Much as I like Cat I go by the old-fashioned idea that the star is the attraction. the other members of the cast are fine but I don't need to see any of them to watch the show. Cat was my favorite supporting character but I still watched every episode in season 2 without her.
Welcome to the world of Marc Guggenheim. Though he may not be part of Supergirl he is part of the CWDCTV universe, like him or not and I go with the latter.
All I have are just four letters to say...WTFF? Figure those letters out for your own self and you'll get what I think of Zendar's thought.
I sure hope not! Maybe they'll just have her retire instead, and move to Europe or something. :)
Cat also could be thinking:
1. How does Kara know Barry all of a sudden?
2. How does Kara know Barry is the Flash?
3. Why does she want to be the one to see him off?
Quoting Brierrose:
So, Melissa Benoist's extremely strong portrayal of Kara/Supergirl, Chyler Leigh's strong performance as Alex, David Harewood as Jonn Jones.....none of those things would keep you watching the show? Really? ok....
I hope my fears are unfounded.
