Quoting daryl772003:
she can have character development without going evil. she's more than her last name. she's more than just lex's sister. having her being the only person in kara's life who doesn't know taints the relationship between them greatly. lena has done her fair share of lying but that doesn't excuse kara's lying when everyone else in her life knows she's supergirl but lena.
This is Well said! My thoughts exactly. Plus, Lena didn't tell Kara that she killed a man (Adam) while experiencing on him and that she shot and "killed" Lex. I also think, to be honest, that in the beginning, she did not tell Lena because she didn't trust her being a Luthor and all but after awhile, this became about protecting her. Also, maybe a bit about Kara being afraid of Lena's reaction about keeping secrets but she had decided to tell her no matter the consequences.
1. SuperGirl has saved her life a number of times.
2. Kara forgave her when she helped her brother Lex.
3. SuperGirl forgave Lena when she kept the Harun-el (which Ben Lockwood ended up using to make him stronger so he could defeat SuperGirl) and made the Kryptonite (which was lethal to SuperGirl).
4. The episode "Ace Reporter" where Kara tells Lena she will always protect her and she
does.
5. The episode "Damage" where Kara and Sam worked together to clear Lena's name from
the smearing job that Morgan Edge had done.
6. In the episode "Will the real Miss Tessmacher please stand up" if it wasn't for SuperGirl saving the plane they both were on, she (Lena) would have died.
7. The fact that the only reason Kara did not tell Lena who she was, was because she thought she was protecting her since those who know who Kara is tend to be hurt.
In my opinion, Kara has done too much for Lena to hold a grudge this whole season - so I hope the writers realize this and reflect it in their writing early in the season.
