Blood Memory Trailer

If you are still sitting on the edge of your seat after tonight's all new episode of Supergirl then you are not alone! That ending was incredible and extremely shocking! For our money, one of the best plot twists and acted scenes this season! Judging by the trailer for next week, the repercussions from this major action are going to be more than anyone thought they could be! Alex has lost a very important part of her formative years and she might not be the Alex we need at the DEO! Check out the trailer for next week below:

You know what, as powerful as J'onn is with telepathy and mind stuff, maybe he can do a "compartment" like brainy where he puts all Alex's memory of Kara being Supergirl in another part of her brain that can't be detected by the truth seeker. But no one knows about it except for J'onn. He doesn't seem worried. I don't know. Just a theory. I'm going to go with that theory. Yup!

Unless it’s part of an episode can we please refrain from including characters sexuality in comments. It doesn’t add anything to the discussion and often detracts from it. Thanks

" Looking the other way may be an answered."

Either that , or just pretending not to know the truth (when in fact you do)...

"To play devil's advocate here, if we're expected to believe that Alex, Kara's own sister with all of their backstory, won't recognize immediately that she is Supergirl, then I think that it would be justifiable to believe that Lena wouldn't know it either."

Yes, I would say that they're probably both equally hard to believe, come to think of it.

Maybe I'm just not suspending my disbelief far enough, though. I was just remembering that Shakespeare play ("As You Like It"?), in which the main characters were at a costume ball with masks on. They were all conversing with each other, and nobody had a clue who the other person really was. But in reality, best friends would immediately recognize each other (even if they did try to disguise their voices.)

We shall see, I suppose.....

I'm hoping and praying that what's missing in her mind has nothing to do with the fact that she's a lesbian. I hope she remembers that because I sure don't want to go through that drama again.
I also hope and pray that this story line doesn't drag on and on. This is a perfect example of lazy writing.

Not sure why that specific aspect of her life would be forgotten. As I understand it, only Supergirl's identity was targeted by the mindwipe. I would assume until shown otherwise that Alex will remember how her sister Kara helped her come to terms with everything.

I know we've discussed this many times before, but I just don't find it credible that someone as intelligent as Lena is portrayed as being would not have figured out by now that Kara is Supergirl, especially considering all the evidence she's seen firsthand.

Oh, I truly am hoping that this is true and gives them an opening. Or like you said, have Alex be able to break through it.

(Cat figured it out with perhaps even less evidence.) I'm thinking that the writers are deliberately trying to get us to buy into this idea that Lena "doesn't have a clue"- so when it's revealed that Lena really did know the truth all along, the impact ("wow factor") will be that much greater. (Basically, that's what they did in the comics with Dick Malverne.)
Oh, well - we shall see, I suppose .. :)

I think the idea is that both try to have a normal friendship. One way may be to ignore the obvious. I really believe both women like and care for each other. Looking the other way may be an answered.

What if J'onn didn't wipe Alex's memories like he said he did but blocked them instead so he can unblock them later when Col Haley is no longer a threat. Once Col Haley uses that truth alien and comes up empty it may be safe for Alex to get her memories back again. J'onn would obviously have to keep that to himself. It would be a way to restore Alex's memories, have her break through the block herself or failing that J'onn could lift it.

Interesting points,Sully. We all know that somehow Alex will remember. As for Lena, both she and Kara need to be friends outside of their families mutual drama. It gives them that quiet space where they trust each other. There is no way either would ever betray the other.
Pretty bold prediction there, Argo. :-*

But, in a way, hasn't Lena already betrayed Kara by making a serum that will give people powers to defeat Supergirl. I mean, yes, I know that she doesn't know Kara is SG but, I have a feeling that it wouldn't have mattered if she did know it. After all, at Thanksgiving everyone at the table (all of her friends including Kara) pretty much told Lena the moral reasons why it wouldn't be a good idea and she did it anyway.
