Well done to Katie McGrath for winning. I've thoroughly enjoyed her performances as Lena Luthor. She saved the season for me. Had it been season 1 Alex I would have voted for her but season 2 Alex is a shadow of her former self unfortunately. Hopefully they can get the characters back on track in season 3

Sad to see that Chyler lost. Although I continue to wholeheartedly stand by my opinion that Chyler is the best supporting actor this past season, I can clearly see why Katie won (and by a landslide at that, wow!).

I'm glad Katie won this little poll, she deserves it. Despite her minimal screen time, she delivers such huge performances. Her chemistry with each and every person she interacts with is sublime. I'm greatly looking forward to seeing her next season, especially now that she's officially confirmed as a regular.

Can't wait to see what the ladies of Supergirl have in store for them next season.

as far as this next season. They were working on their ideas before the last season had finished. It is all about $$$$$$ and having a plan in place early allows them to see where the money is needed and plan. It is also important that a solid plan is in place early because the crossover is coming much earlier this next season, and SG's film schedule is much longer than most others...in other words, they have a plan in place. People thinking these polls matter as far as decision making is the same nonsense out there that NBC is putting out that it was fan outcry that kept Timeless on the air.

As Leonard Snart/Captain Cold said. Make the plan, execute the plan, prepare for the plan to go off the rails, throw away the plan. Ok don't do that last bit but I'd bet as soon as they knew the show was renewed the producers started working on ideas for next season. Can't say how detailed the plan is but I hope as detailed as possible. If they know when they plan to film episode #x (side note the producers must totally know how many episodes) they can better coordinate schedules with guest stars like Calista, Dean, and Helen. Of course schedules get off but if you can give a guest star say a three week period where they agree to be available it works better for everyone.

Katie! She's the main reason I’m still watching Supergirl. It's funny how some here are trying to downgrade her just because their favorite is not winning, or because apparently there's some kind of "ship" war? That's dumb. I don't care about ships, I care about characters and story and Lena has been the strongest one.

With all the relationships soap opera thing, the dull Guardian storyline, the lack of Kara's development etc, Lena is by far who saved S2 for me. She is portrayed as someone real and it's so easy to empathise with her and it's all because of Katie, Katie's acting choices are what truly makes me care about Lena, a lot of times she doesn't even have to say a word to understand what's happening with her but sometimes with a simple stare she's capable of making me question everything about her, she is so good and expressive. Making her a regular on S3 has been one of the best decisions.

I almost gave up on the show this season. The one and only thing that kept me watching was Katie McGrath and her portrayal of Lena Luthor. She's ben a breath of fresh air in what has IMO ben a very poor season. I loved alex in season 1 and if it was that Alex I would have voted for her hands down but she's a shadow of her former self. They turned her into a lovesick puppy and pretty much killed the sister relationship to focus on romance

Made some edits to comments and deleted a few. Then I thought it would be best to explain what I am doing. I wanted to keep this thread on track and it was turning into another "why I hate this and that" thread. The forum is a great place for that conversation but for a simple poll that is really just designed to keep us fans motivated during the summer hiatus, this isn't the place for that discussion. Thanks, and I do encourage proper and civil discourse on those topics in the forum!

To be honest, we have no clue as to why the show runners have chosen to keep story lines going from season to season, and why some don't continue. A good portion of the time it is the availability of the actor. Some actors simply don't like being out of Hollywood, some it's not a problem. Who knows...as far as this next season. It' wasn't it was $$$$$$$$ that the producers were willing to spend. I'm a realist and that is reality. The bottom line for me is it looks like their (Kara and Lena) friendship story line is continuing and that is cool. It is cool that she will have someone besides her sister and is not the guy that she loves, because though they should be friends as well, it is nice to have that friend that is friend. The only question anyone should have is, when she finds out Kara is Supergirl, what will happen...and that is when the fun speculation stuff happens. :)

I know that feeling. Choosing between Katie and Chyler was hard. I picked Katie but it was a really hard choice. It's so awesome you got to go to the early showing of the finale.

And don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Katie and I love Lena as a character. But my vote had to go to Chyler. But if she wasn't in this poll I would've voted for Katie hands down.
