I think Season 2 was a much better product than season 1 (which was very good). My one complaint about the show is they sometimes try to fit too many things into an episode rather than focus on the main story line. I would like to see less distractions like Guardian, and more developing of the villains and the battles with Supergirl. I want to see more Supergirl/Kara problem solve and show her growth as a character, rather than rushed endings due to fitting in extra characters. The episode with Parasite last season was a classic example, too much time working in Wynn and Guardian, then Kara suddenly wakes up and goes off to kill Parasite without any explanation of what she was doing, how she thought of it? The episode Darkest Place was also rushed with the Guardian story line. Focusing on Supergirl when she was forced to decide to give up her power or watch Mon El die, rushed through that whole scene, incluidng when they had her at their mercy. Just threw her in a cell and forgot about her. No real follow up. I know her dad shows up to setup next episode, but it was rushed due to the other story line.

I thought the Mon El story was ok, and not too much of a distraction, centered still on Kara, much like her relationship with James in season 1 wasn't as much extra noise like Guardian has been. If you were going to develop someone more, I would rather see more Martian Manhunter, less Guardian. More Supergirl and more action than any of the others.

Another BTS pic has little girl Ruby and Reign in the same scene. Other pics have Yael Grobglas as Psi interacting with Melissa as SG in some way.

You're likely right about the sequential episode order; however, according to Guggenheim, Legends of Tomorrow has been deliberately filming eps out of sequence this season, so anything's possible right now.
