@KET1

Of course there were arcs that work very well. I'm not saying no additional character arcs, that would be very boring. I loved the Myrnn stuff for example.

But this show has way too many. And that leads to many of them left unfinished or hurriedly concluded. More so, the sheer number forces each one to be short and shallow. If we reduce the number, we get more depth out of the ones we have.

@evrafter remember Jeremiah? They started that in Season 1 and now well.....

One heavy problem in Season 2 and the show in general is that it tries, and fails, to juggle too many arcs. Perhaps it's time the writers started limiting the stories to a few characters.

I'd have to agree, Fedguy. Season 2 and parts of season 3 were full of characters not really related to Kara; and thus, many of the episodes seemed too disjointed and/or didn't focus on the main character... Supergirl.

Did they release agent Jensens full name?

If it turns out to be Raymond Maxwell Jensen, could they be planning another Parasite?

Disagree. Series usually finds the right thematic balance between two or more sets of characters going through similar emotional situations. A good example from last season is "Far From The Tree", wherein J'onn's father fearfully doesn't recognize his own son after years of isolated torture. The parallel situation on Earth, Maggie's fearful father conveniently makes up fearful excuses for his own behavior, instead of recognizing that his daughter has grown into her own woman, free of his browbeating influence.

It does seem that Agent Jensen could be put into a parallel relationship with Alex similar to that of Nia/Kara.....but it's too early to tell at this point. However, with fewer familiar personnel at the DEO for new Director Alex to rely on, seems more organic to next season's overall story arc for her to acquire more backup, particularly if there are defections in the ranks to the Children of Liberty.

Wow, alot of new people joining in season 4. Hope we don't have too many people that the character of Kara/SuperGirl gets diluted in the mix. Should be an interesting addition to the show. Would like to see how he gets along with Brainiac. Also, if Alex is his mentor, when and how will he react when he finds out that Alex's sister, Kara, is SuperGirl (since it's a given fact that everyone at the DEO knows that Kara and SuperGirl are the same person).
Keep in mind all Recurring means is the actor appears in more than one episode. That can mean anything from two episodes like Olivia of the Children of Rao to Lena in season two. Since we know Kara is going to act as a mentor to Nia perhaps the writers are setting up the parallel of both sisters acting as mentors. Or maybe he's sent by Agent Liberty to be a mole in the DEO.

Yes, there are many new faces coming in Season 4. I guess it takes many to replace the beloved Monty and Wynn. I think I'm more curious then excited for season 4.
