No, I don't really want her in that part of Kara's life. I don't want her as a superhero, sidekick....I would much rather her be that friend that Kara can go to to keep her human so to speak, but also keep her tied to the Luthors, and give us that "pause" every once in awhile and then the *sigh* of relief, that yes, she is still Lena fighting against the legacy of her family. I want that angst in there, and I think that Katie can play that well. But I want it to pay off, this past season it seemed to give us more questions. Are we going to get "Checkmate" which I still wouldn't mind.....lol and yes to this as well....

I never said to turn her "bad" or "evil" because of the lie I've never said to turn her "bad" or "evil" ever.... Simply that there has to be some consequences....she is a layered character, just being Kara's buddy would be a waste.
I don't think that Kara "likes" lying it was simply something that she was told to do from day one on earth, and has been something that she actually doesn't do really well.
This isn't a black and white thing. The layers are already in place, Lena is a grey character which is part of what makes her such an interesting character. I don't want her as a yes man to anyone including Kara. She is a business woman that likes making money (the alien tester) told us that, she is a woman that has "family issues" that has been extremely evident. She is someone that doesn't necessarily like hearing things that are contrary to what she has envisioned in her own mind. Ex. 1 Supergirl telling her her mom was a part of Cadmus, Ex. 2 Kara telling her about Jack. Ex. 3 in "Luthors" she bowed up when Kara just paused when telling her about the video of her with Kryptonite. So for her to be all "it's cool" would be totally out of character for the person they have developed this past season.
And I HOPE that "Lena is not Lex" is not the only point of Lena.
I doubt it. Max was sort of grey himself. He did the wrong thing for the right reasons, and he helped the team when it suited his needs. Morgan looks like a good old-fashioned villain.
I hope Lena Luthor stays morally grey unlike her brother Lex.
I almost forgot about Morgan Edge! It'll definitely be entertaining to see how Lena interacts with him, a worthy adversary for sure!
I would've LOVED to see a face off between Lena and Max. I really wish Peter Facinelli would agree to guest starring in an episode or two.
I'm still sad we won't get to watch her face off against Max Lord. That'd be a lot of fun. I'm sure Morgan will be more than a worthy adversary, though.
I completely agree, that's why I'm all for a morally grey Lena. I want the writers to show that struggle within her to be good in the face of all the bad that surrounds her. But if tptb do choose to make her evil (regardless of any bad messages it sends) I want them to stretch it out, not just have her turn at the flip of a switch.
I think she'd make a good informant. She has a lot of connections to people in high places, like to Roulette for example, and that could feasibly be useful. Especially if Max ever came back and they picked up that omegahedron teaser plot they dropped in the s1 finale.
