We are certainly not Harry Houdini and while Alex may fare better than we would, we can pretty much assume that she isn't a magician either! This trailer looks dark and intense! We have a feeling we are going to be on the edge of our seats the entire hour! Alex gets put into some kind of horrible water chamber and it's up to Maggie and Kara to find her before it's too late. If you are looking to see some glass shatter, then you are in luck because you know Supergirl is going to demolish that cage! Check out the trailer for next week's new Supergirl below:

But yeah some people on other sites are getting down on it because it looks and sounds too much like that. However IMO 1) Who cares? That movie made a Sh@t ton of money because people liked that, and 2) Superhero comics and shows often had peril traps of some kind, so its not out of spec. I'd be fine with more actually.
I am also missing the Alex/Supergirl interactions, discussions, etc. It did make the show unique and IMO will always be the foundation of the show. It's what I liked the most about season 1 and it is the most that I miss about season 2.
Yes! I've been quite surprised at the lack of focus on the Alex/Supergirl relationship this season. I expected that this season would have a heavy focus on Cadmus and the Danvers. Instead the plots are oddly all over the place and there are too many subplots as well as too much time spent on characters that I don't care about. The sister relationship made the show very unique--it was (and still is) the emotional heart of the show in my opinion. I can't help but feel that the writers hear the "more vocal" fans and are trying to please them (ex. give Kara a best friend outside of Alex, explore Alex's sexuality, give James something to do, etc.). Anyway, all those things are fine, but by trying to focus on everything and please everyone is just not effective. I just wish the focus would get back to the characters I grew to love in Season 1.
All that to say, that I still enjoy the show and this episode looks to be fantastic!
