A superhero and a beat cop. One makes her own rules, the other follows them. Carefree vs. careful. It'll be a brief look at two different approaches to a common problem. Let's see how it meshes together. ;-)

I think SuperGirl did what Supergirl does - Maggie may have and may not have talked the robbers down and people still could have got hurt - SuperGirl went in and ended it. Maggie was perturbed but hey, that is what SuperGirl does. Definitely two different styles of doing things but I don't mind saying I am partial to the girl of steel.

Maggie was the voice of reason in this scene properly saying to the robbers, you did this yourselves and you can choose to end it in a manner where no one gets hurt. But then along comes Kara to suddenly go Aroldis Chapman (fireball closer for my Yankees...baseball season you know!) and even make a mention of gangster Charles Arthur "Pretty Boy" Floyd. For the record, the gangster died in 1934, 4 years before Superman and 25 years before Supergirl.

This shows 2 things...

1) Contrasting styles between the two characters

2) A dynamic chemistry between Melissa Benoist and Floriana Lima which sets them up in my review for some possible high fives as they will carry this episode.
