A Few Good Women Trailer

We are off to the races Supergirl fans! What did you think of that season finale/season opener? We have to be honest, this was clearly meant to be the season finale from last year but obviously Covid-19 delayed that episode. Now that we know where Kara is, back in the phantom zone where she spent 12 years alone before arriving on Earth, how long do we think she'll be stuck there. How many of you have seen the 1984 Supergirl film? Curious if there isn't a clue as to what Supergirl's current predicament is. Check out the promo for next week's all new episode of Supergirl just below:

She spent 24 years in the phantom zone, not twelve. The first episode of the first season stated this plus if it was 12 years then Superman would have been 12 years old when she landed on Earth.

There must be something with Supergirl and Phantom Zone.

It's often intertwined with her mythology. In the Silver Age, Supergirl's Kryptonian parents Zor-El and Alura escaped the destruction of Argo (by Kryptonite radiation poisoning) by sending themselves into an alternate PZ dimension called the Survival Zone. Eventually, Supergirl managed to free them, and they decided to reside in the Bottle City of Kandor with other Krypton survivors. And of course, there's the live action depiction in the 1984 movie....maybe a character or two from that movie is soon to make a reappearance? :)

Really looking forward to next week. I'm wondering if the finale would have ended with Supergirl being sent to the Phantom Zone if she was without child last year. I mean did they write that finale knowing that Kara would be on maternity leave and needed to have her disappear until she was able to return. Or was it just dumb luck. ;-)
Anyway, I love that she's stuck in the Phantom Zone. It's better then her being in a coma. It gives Supergirl an opportunity to devise an escape plan which she will be the leader. Of course she will need help from her team on the other side. I think this is going to be good stuff.

First thing is I love, love, love the new hairstyle (really the original hairstyle from the previous seasons). This episode looks to be good and I can't wait until next week gets here. These episodes make me even more sad that SuperGirl ends after this season. I hope Eliza is told about SuperGirl being in the PZ....maybe this episode and what happens to Kara is a lead in to the Midvale episodes since the last time they were in Midvale is was because Alex had separated from Maggie. Can this season get any cooler :-)

I'm happy we will get to see Melissa doing something a bit different and showing her acting skills while Supergirl is trapped in the Phantom Zone. I'm looking forward to next week!

Anyone knows why there's some sort of white light coming out of Supergirl's eyes?

Yes,as I mentioned on the episode recap page, this is the fourth time Kara has been trapped in the Phantom Zone in live action..

1)The Supergirl film
2)At the end of Smallville season 7 in the finale(episode 20) and was set free in season 8(episode 8).
3)Young Kara trapped for years in her pod on this series
4)Beginning of Season 6 here.

From the brief look at it in the episode and promo, the Phantom Zone reminds me of how it looked in the Supergirl film more so than it did on Smallville(Clark was trapped there in the season 5 finale by Zod/Lex.Supergirl than was trapped there in the season 7 finale by Brainiac and freed in episode 8 of season 8).

I do wonder if the Superfriends will let Alura know Kara is in the PZ?
