They've been known as episodes S301, S302 and S303 but in our heart of hearts, we know that just can't stand. No one thinks back on when Kara blew up Red Tornado and thinks "ooh, episode S106, that was a great one". Heck no, they think, "Red Faced was one of my favorite episodes ever!" That is of course how we want to remember them and today, we have titles for the first three episodes of season 3! The kick off to the season is aptly titled "Girl of Steel" which is quite fitting considering what we know about the premiere. (Just see our Comic Con coverage and Spoiler Page if you don't know). Following "Girl of Steel" is "Triggers" which we think will address elements of Kara's life that result in her remembering the human connections she has. Essentially the "Triggers" that make her question her humanity (see season 3 trailer). Finally episode 3 is titled "Far From the Tree". As you know from our recent news that we broke concurrently with TVline, Maggie's father shows up on the show played by Carlos Bernard. Could Dean Cain make an appearance? Maybe even Zor-El? We don't know but we are excited for them all!
Supergirl returns to The CW, Monday, October 9th, 2017! Let us know what you think of the titles in the comments below and in the forum! Keep us your advertisement free source for Supergirl and visit our support page!

True from a far distance it might work. I've seen the double and she only favors Melissa from a distance and she is heavier (of course that is good for all that she does) but they are only doubles at a far distance.
Recall that the voice is not always recorded at the same time the video is. The stunt double is called the double because she is actually fairly close to being the double. Face from a distance may work.
Agreed - can't wait for episode one and I also loved that episode "Falling" in season one.
To me that might work in action scenes where her face is not being seen and she is not talking. Other than that I know, for me, I wan to see Melissa Benoist not the stunt double. In season one Melissa's appearance was ample - it was not for me in season 2, hopefully in season 3 it will be.
Quoting Kelly:
Love the E1 title "Girl of Steel", it's my 2nd favourite episode title so far behind "The Adventures of Supergirl" (which will always be my favourite because that what's the show is about(Supergirl's adventures)for me).
Would be nice if an episode in the future is titled "The Maid of Might".
last season SG was tacked onto the crossover with the late renewal and move to the CW. this year they said they built in days off for the entire show so Melissa and the other cast members could film the crossover.
This is what worries me about things like the big crossover. I remember too well the feelings we had in the first half of last season where Kara seemed to have less screen time (at least compared to season 1), and we had to sit through stories about Guardian and the like who we didn't really care about, presumably because Melissa's time was being taken to film the crossovers.
Hi Kelly - let me say I agree she has not been overshadowed by even Superman himself. I agree that Melissa definitely held her own. To me she is the best in the show and the only reason I come to the set on Mondays. I am in agreement with you that I mean that she should have had more screentime. I took the word overshadow to mean more like her screentime being cut for another actor/actress - not that she could not hold her own. So let me clarify that she definitley holds her own against any of the other actors but yes I would LOVE to see more screentime for her and not have her lines or time on screen cut short or just not there. Good clarification point and one I hope the writers listen to for season 3.
I used the wrong word in my post. I wanted to say that I hope Supergirl gets more screen time. That is what I wanted to say. I would love to see other characters stories but I just don't want the writers to minimize Kara's screentime when the episode is about some other character. Like in Arrow and Flash, they did some other characters' centric-episodes but I never felt like that Flash or Arrow were given less screentime.
