The villains of Earth-X have a doomsday weapon, one that could eliminate the entire planet! Luckily for our Earth One heroes, they have the same weapon, SUPERGIRL! Its going to be a huge showdown between Supergirl and Overgirl! We can't wait! (We should put a disclaimer out there though, we don't know for sure Overgirl is the doomsday device, we just have a lot of pride in our Girl of Steel, probably riding high from seeing Justice League's Superman) But obviously that's not all, evil version of all our beloved characters are going to make an apperance and even some villains may show up as heroes! Check out the first full 30 second trailer for Crisis on Earth-X starting Monday, November 27th!

This really needs to be on the forum, this isn't the place for this conversation.
Somehow I doubt that. If you check out his Twitter and Instagram feeds, he has been busy promoting his music projects in the interim.
Also, it could well be that the addition of Katie and Odette (Lena and Sam) as regulars to the cast, it has cut down on the need for him to be in certain scenes. After all, the Guardian storyline from last year appears to have been scrapped for the time being in an attempt to either exorcise it from the show or to retool it to be more palatable for the audience.
Fret not, Mehcad (James) will be back but it may be in a retooled / modified way. Right now, they writers and show are focusing more on the Lena and Sam angles in order to get the Reign storyline in full gear. Once this is accomplished, I am confident that James, Winn and Mon-EL will have more airtime in which they all have more central story roles in the second half of S3.
Quoting Kiwi:
Something is going on that we don't know about. Is it the relationship he has with the new showrunners of the show that has him in the doghouse, I don't know and can't answer. His overall screentime from season 1 to season 3 has seen a significant drop off in the ballpark of probably 50%. Something is just not right. He's not even the crossover. Not sure if James will ever be in crossover in the Arrowverse. I think it's the best interest of both sides if they part ways. I don't think Mehcad will be back next season because this season is looking like it could be the end of the road for him, unfortunately.
