Lyra Strade's role in Supergirl is getting bigger as season 2 contunes! Guy walks into a bar, meets beautiful woman who is an alien, goes on Valentines day dinner date, the rest writes itself right? Well not exactly, because as we know Winn is the man in the van and with a hobby like that and powers like Lyra's, she could become a valuable asset to team Guardian! In a Spoiler Room interview with Natalie Abrams, Jeremy Jordan had this to say:
In our world strong-willed women and women who are powerful in their own ways tend to have other things going on, so we find out that there are secrets. But for the first few episodes that we see Winn and Lyra, it’s more about discovering how their relationship fits into this new world that we’re discovering on Supergirl.
The trio of Winn, Guardian and Lyra could make a good B team for when Supergirl is off world. Further more, you could combine them with Alex and Maggie's dynamic duo and have a real powerhouse! We know Winn is in the musical crossover probably making him a traveler in the interdimetional song fest which will leave, Maggie, Alex, James and Lyra to deal with National City!

I don't know, it looks to me like the writers are doubling down on Guardian, I don't see him going anywhere...
She could be Dawnstar or Wildstar from Starhaven....if she does become part of the crew, I hope they show a little bit of her culture, it is very similar to Native American culture....should be interesting to watch.
Dawnstar is a bounty hunter in the comics, and they mentioned another bounty hunter in the first season that I thought we would have seen by now, Lobo...
If they evolve her look to look more human, then IMO that totally takes away from the sweetness of Winn seeing past anything that others see as unattractive, or too alien. You might as well bring in a cop or something that is human for Winn to fall in love with....
I can't speak to Buffy as I never watched it, but I actually thought Nana Visitor was cute as a Bajoran. This makeup design is more reminiscent of Odo to me in its glaring-ness.
But regardless, I'm looking forward to seeing more of her!
