VP Shake Up: Bruce Boxleitner Takes Role

Star Trek fans will be disappointed but Brent Spiner will no longer be playing the recurring role of Vice President Baker. Unfortunately, Brent had to depart the show to attend to a family issue that conflicted with the production dates. Fear not though, Supergirl is welcoming Bruce Boxleitner (TRON, TRON: Legacy, TRON: Uprising (animated), Babylon 5, Scarecrow & Mrs. King), to the part! To refresh you, the part of Vice President Boxleitner is described as:

Adept and politically minded, Vice President Baker makes for an unlikely leader, but steps in a big way up when his country needs him most.

While personally disappointed that Brent Spiner had to depart the show, we are sure that Bruce will do an incredible job!

Sorry to hear it but glad we're still getting someone with geek cred.

Quoting Romulus:
All the best to Bruce as he assumes the role. Do the character proud. ;-)

Bruce will do great playing Vice President Baker in Season 4 of Supergirl. I have complete confidence in him. He's a great actor who can play any role in the business.
