Whoa, talk about a huge announcement from the executive producers at Supergirl! The "World's-First-Superhero-Sized" elephant in the room is finally going to be acknowledged! To welcome Supergirl to The CW in the first two episodes of season 2, Superman himself will appear on the show. No, not like he has before with glimpses and boots but a real actor to portray the Man of Steel! The Executive Producing Team has this to say through a CW release:
Greg [Berlanti], Ali [Adler] and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of Supergirl,” says executive producer Andrew Kreisberg. “Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!
This is a huge announcement and a mega boost to the TV universe of DC. It was mentioned a few months ago that restrictions on showing the "Trinity" of superheroes outside of the movies were being lifted and now that Superman will guest on Supergirl, it seems the bosses at DC meant what they said.
