Supergirl Cast at SDCC Facebook Live

It's an early start for the cast and showrunners for Supergirl at SDCC today! They have already taken over the Facebook page for the show and answered questions live from fans! The cast was very excited to welcome Odette Anabelle to the team and each was able to answer at least one question! Also, Chris Wood has a special guest with him, some kind of Super Dolphin! You'll get it when you see it! Check out the video below to see how the Facebook live event went. The video's sound picks up around 50 seconds in fyi:

From reading the reports from SDCC for Supergirl, it looks like the emphasis will be on Kara, James, J'onn, and Lena.

Remember unfortunately Chyler wasn't there so there were no questions about Alex. Her absence throws off the emphasis questions.

Just my thoughts - I don't think Reign has anything to do with Lena's past. I think she is definitely from Krypton and her intent is the destruction of SuperGirl. I think Lena will definitely accept the fact that SuperGirl and Kara are one. We now know that Cat knows Supergirl and Kara are one - I think this season Cat will let Kara know that she is aware of that fact. I think Reign will prove to be a villain that will come close to killing SuperGirl. Last I believe this season is going to be action packed kick butt action. Now to see how many of my projections come true.

.
Well, I think the Season 3 teaser trailer released after the SDCC panel discussion will probably confirm some things, and deny others. Calista will again recur as Cat in S3, just as she did in S2. And Reign won't be the only adversary on Kara's mind, as Lena gets one, too.

It's called "time travel".

Well, not necessarily with the aging thing. They age slowly, so they can look younger than they are, like Clark. Unless you mean that Reign physically wasn't old enough to be Lena's mom (I call BS that Katie is playing a character ten years younger than her, but that's another discussion), in which case yeah, you're right about that. If Reign left at the same time as Kara and Clark, she'd be 37-ish, and if Lena is 24 that's a very small age gap. I just think it would make sense for Lena to be Reign's kid because they're really pushing the whole "your family doesn't define you" bit, and being related to a Worldkiller would fit beautifully.

I did mean physically, assuming Reign went directly from Krypton to Earth like Clark she hasn't been on Earth long enough to be Lena's mom. They did say 35 years ago at the end of S2E22. I think Lena has enough of the your family doesn't define you with being a blood Luthor.

Plus, we're assuming Reign isn't going to be a "hero." I'm leaning more towards a story line where there's a REASON Lena is able to overcome the negative side of Luthor blood--her biological mom was a hero of some sort, making Lena's story even more enjoyable...a true good overcoming evil battle within herself.

Rewatching this video and it gets better every time. Watching the cast interact and joking around and just all around having a blast is such a great thing to see! The faces they make and the jokes they crack really make the interview fun to watch. And I had completely missed Melissa's "I will strangle that dolphin" comment (around 4:38) which made me laugh as it caught me off guard. I'm loving the vibe of this group!!
